History/RP Sample:History/Background Story: Rai was born in the cloud village. In about two more years, is little brother was born, his name was Kenshi. His father was an elite jounin known through the land and his mom was stay at home person taking care of the family. As Kenshi and Kei got older, they had dreams of being even more than their father.
Rai was a collected kid, while Kenshi was the joker. He had wanted to join the academy right away, but he was only 7. His mom had total disagreement with the idea. She would always say it was too dangerous, while his dad said its time to toughen hime up abit, be ahead of his age.
Rai joined the academy at 7 to get a head start. He was one of the best in his class. He was said to be a a prodigy, of his father at least and would came the prestigious family one of the best in the next generation. His dad set the standard. He was about to graduate at 8, but a tragedy happened. His father went on his third S-Rank mission. He was battling the enemy and was never found when the mission was done. Some say he was dead, others said he could handle the pressure so he ran away.
Rai was slacking due to the lost and the put downs about how his father was a coward, and how he would be too. After a while, it gave him a drive. He would defeat the odds, and bring his name back to the top. After the hardest training he had did by then, he graduated at 9. Kei was now a gennin and the best in his squad. His squad leader tuaght everyone a summoning. Rai learned Kuyochise no jutsu: Dog. Since his chakra was very limited at the time, his dog was very small, but good enough for his time. Through exploring and doing missions, rai met a knew friend. His name was Kaiden. They were like stone, and had each others back threw thick and thin. That bond would last forever.
For becoming a gennin, he recieved a sword. Engraved was his family's name and one word, りょこう, 旅行, which meant Journey. It was there to say never give up on the journey and expect a reward for never giving up. It was a prized possesion. He only used it for good luck in hard battles.Trainers from the village heard his name. He showed potentail and it gave him a chance. Not only did he progress for missions, he was taught by elite trainers and would be great. His younger brother was fading in the shadows. Kei had stregnth and entred the chuunin exams. He became a chuunin at 10 years old. It was a honor, as he was the number one rookie to be in the exams.
In His family, to be considered a real ninja, by the age of 12 you must have invented one Lightning jutsu. Every jutsu made form every child form generation to generation was written in the scroll of secret. Only the Otawa family, would be allowed to read, for one reason, it required a opening seal only know by the Otawa family and will never be said to others. Kei made a jutsu and was able to write his name and jutsu in the scroll. Then he got praised and teaching.For years, he trained with elders and his other trainers. He found a teacher too. For a 4 years, he trained in the mountains and mastered the ninja arts. Rai came back to the village to remake his life. He showed great ability and was promoted to Jounin at 16. He went on some of those most important missions. He would be known as the the Kumo Village's Raiden.
His grandfather passed one night. He was an enturpenuer, owning a restuarant by the name of 'The Cherry Blossom' it was a succcesful place in his part of the village. Kai inheritted about 1/3 the money. Kai saved some of it for a family, and some for emergencies. The rest was used for toning up his inventory and armor. Rai joined Anbu for the Kumo village going on stelth missions and assasinations. He went everywhere and thru this he could find out village techniques for the Kumo's use. It was a great help for the village strategy against enemies.
He took some time off form all the heavy mission to enjoy life. He met a women named Namoi in that time. They would be friends and do things together. As time grew they became closer and closer and became in love. In some months they got married. They then had a child, a girl named Yuki. Due to all the success of his brother, Kenshi become much jealous and hateful. He even tried harming his bother, but was stopped. Kaiden was only was only a chuunin and Rai was considered the elite of the elite. They were only two years apart, so it made the pain worse for Kei. He then ran away, and is an enemy of the Kumo.
Rai left behind the village and his familiy for about a month in search for Kenshi, he cared about his brother still but wasnt getting him just so he could see him. Kenshi found Kei on his way to the Rain village, to join Akatsuki. Even through all the things they went to, Kei wouldnt go back by will.Rai and Kenshi soaked theirselves in rain and argued. It was enough after a while. Rai had to bring his brother back by force. Kenshi was serious, even if he had to kill, now was the chance to prove how worthy he was. Kenshi and Rai faught back and forth for a while, but Rai came out on top, leaving Kenshi uncounsious. Rai took Kenshi back to the viallge and had him put in maximum sercurity prison for treason.
After 12 years, his wife took over the family resturant and Yuki was now a gennin smart like her father and was a notable kunoichi. She wanted to be a medic nin, like the legendary Lady Tsunade. Their home life was good.
Rp Sample: The wind whistled threw the trees and the leaves rustled. Rai panted in his spot, hunched over to catch his breath. The enemy was out of site as of now, so it was either he had some time or the enemy was waiting for an atack. Pulling out a kunai, he clentched it tight. Slowly, he went over to the tree bark and stuck the Kunai. Rai placed his ear on its end and listened. The vibration would help him sense the enemy.
The sound of metal whizzed threw the air, as Rai turned his body to the other side of the tree. He moved against it tightly and looked at the kunai on the tree bark. Calcuating its angle, he was able to determine which direction it came from. he came from out the shadows and looked up into the the trees. The coulds were moving and the sun shined. A strip of gray starting racing toward Rai. He pulled out a kunai to throw, but it cuaght him.
"Nice try!" The enemy looked down and Rai traced a shadow coming from the man to him. As of now he was stuck. "Thanks for pulling out the kunai" It must have been someone with Nara like abilites attacking Rai. Sweat came down from the pressure as Rai's arm holding the kunai came closer to his chest area. "Do it!" Rai yelled out smirking. The guy moved his arm with speed as it made Rai's arm do the same. "Gah..." Rai screamed then stoped. A cloud formed. As it cleared, Rai disappeared.... it was a clone.
The enemy looked around and the sun was blocked by a figure of some sort. The glare around it was blinding so he covered his sight, blocking all view. He felt a gust of wind press down. Rai had came from the trees and went to pin The enemy down. "Darnit..." The weight was to much to stop from coming down and Rai had gripped the man. A crackling noise came about as the level they were on started sinking. "The branch... its gonna break" Either way Rai smilied, it was him having a mat to land on.
In a sudden second, they felt the ind pushing against them as their hair blew upward. They then were spiralling down. Face to Face, the man tried to break away, but couldnt. Soon, a hard surface pressed aginst them. A large bunch of dust and dirt flew up and went out in a 6 foot radius. Rai cuaghedas the he inhaled the dirt. His hands were cherry red, they had marks, mainly scratches. Looking down, his vision was blured but only temperarly. The man underneath him was ijured, but his eyes we open as his pushed up, trying to get away from Rai's hold. "We ninja fight till the death" He used all his force and pushed Rai off of him as he sat up.
Rai rolled on the ground breaking the impact of a fall. He crouched down. "Give it up...." He formed hand seals. "Doton: Rising Earth Wall1" He gripped the the rigid ground and inserted chakra in it. The earth shook around him, but the effects happened underneath the enemy. Rai closed his eyes, clearing the dust so he could see better. Still, he could hear the wall rising and knew that the opponent would be forced up, possibly breaking his ribs. Rai slowly opened his eys to see what happened, but he saw nothing. "Where did he go...?"
His senses raced to the side, but he could not react in time. "Ohh!" He squezed his eyelids shut and and clentech his stomach that had a moment of pain. Rai flew into the near by tree and looked at the man. "How did you..."
"Us ninja, we have a special skill." He looked at the sun. "We have the ability to travel through shadows, thats how I got away." Rai tried to get up but could not move. "What, he got me" the enemy stood there smirking. Rai had realized he was stuck in a shadow.
"I suggest you know ask question and pay attention to the fight" The enemy put his hand in the pouch. "Whoever you are, youll just end up killing yourself" Rai blurted as he tried to fight the movement. "Quite the contrary" The ninja placed his hand in the pouch and oulled it out. Nothing was there. But there was a kunai in rai's hand. "Your smarter than a though, a worthy opponent" Rai stated, keeping his cool. The enemy luaghed as he moved his hand to the lungs, impailing it with his fist. But Rai had a kunai. "Your dead Rai!"
Rai smirked, "Quite the contrary" The kunai hit made an impact, the the sound of medal peirced their ears. "I have armor on" the shadow connection broke quickly as Rai staggered up. "I know how to defeat you" The enemy stood their in utter disbelief, who wears armor?
Rubbing his hands together, Rai fromed handseals. "Thunder Strike no Jutsu" PLacing his palms up to the sky, a large burst of lighting came out making birds scatter. "Water Strike no Jutsu" His plams stood steady in the same position as water shout to the sky breaking all beariers. With a fierce explosion, the water and lighting connected like two negatives. Lighting and Water cuased distruction.
"Rai, trying to fight the sky are we, Im down here!" The man charged at Rai with his hand balled in a fist. Rai grabbed it and held while he swung the other arm. Rai missed the punch and the man went for a kick. Rai jumped back and they both held each other in place. Now it was a test of stregnth. To much force was exerted cuasing them to be pushed apart. They slid in the dirt leaving a trail. "We all now my shadow travels fast" The enemy made one seal and a shadow went to Rai strongly. It came inches away and Rai stood there then looked up. "W-What!?" The man looked at the shadow that had stopped suddenly. It began to stroll back. "Why is this happening"
"If you havent noticed smart guy, my lightning and water formed a cloud. the cloud is blocking the sun. No sun equals... no shadow." Rai pulled out his blade. It morphed blue as raigot closer the man running to make a counter attack. Soon enough, the balde was englfed with lighting, chirping like a thousand birds. "Now you die!" Rai thrusted the sword foward atthe man. not only did he not have enough time to react, it was too late to stop running. the lighting came out and shocked the the man. he soon began shaking uncontrollably burning and screaming.
With one last hit, Rai impalied him wiht the sword cuasing more damage. When the smoke cleard, the body was left ashy on the ground... not a move, not a sound.
