It would be hilarious technically to be an S-rank Genin....but even so, I think as a Genin you still wouldn't be allowed on certain missions regardless. Titles still mean something, just not as much anymore I believe (sorry I know I'm not a mod but I do remember hearing this from someone who is or an admin)

makes sense. The ninja ranks still play a role as a limit of how hard missions you are allowed to take.
