training-again

reiki sneaks out of the house by sliding down the drain pipe. the pipe wasnt warmed with the sun yet, and when she landed on the ground there was a crunch. the dew had hardend into frost. she must have woke up about 3 hours before dawn. good. it was better than taking the nasty medicine. she ran to the training grounds, stopping to catch her breath now and then. when she arrived she pulled out her kanta from her back and began going through the forms that ki taught her when she was at the snow village.

Xarias, the fama of Reiki; was watching her shift in between her forms after a momentary practice session. She was on top of a nearby house roof, kneeling down; her wings bent and behind her back. She simply watched as her baby girl trained. She was growing up. Although Xarias was heartless and cruel, she wouldnt ever let anyone harm her baby girl. Never. If she had to, she'd grant her immortality as well. But; she feared that Reiki would want to be with her forever. She didnt want Reiki to deal with living forever though.. Its too painful. Alone. Alone, with noone but me beside her.. She thought, then snapped back to reality, continuing to watch Reiki's valiant effort to improve her fighting skills.

She simply sighed. "Good girl.."

reiki heard famas voice. she could never mistake famas voice. she went through the last form and quickly cheather her sword on the hilt strapped to her skinny back. she then whirled around and ran to where she heard fama's voice. "fama!" she called out.
since she had memorized her training area well, she knew where the house was. she stopped milimeters from it and paused. she then backed up and hopped on it, forcing chakra on her feet evenly. since she couldnt see, she was able to tap into her reserves that utashi-sensei gave her more quickly and much more accurately.
reiki ran up the wall and glomped fama, hugging her happily. " did you see me fama? did you?" she could smell famas breath and sense the wings behind her, but she payed no heed. this was her fama.

Xarias gently hugged Reiki back, squeezing her gently. She was warm. Very. She smiled wide. Wider than she had in a very long time.

"Yes, baby girl. I saw you. Your getting better. But please, be careful. There are people stronger then you out in the wild, and im not always around to protect you." She says, sighing. Releasing the hug and then looking into her eyes. "I love you, okay?" She says, hugging her gently again. Indeed, she did love her. She hasnt known love for a long time. Billions of years. She took Reiki in her arms, and flew back down to the spot she was originally training in. She let her go, and put forth a hand gesture. "Continue, sweety.
She says, letting her go - Smiling.

reiki nodded. her unseeing eyes looking at fama, determined to impress her. she decided to do the forms together instead of slower just this time so she could show her how much she's learned so far. reiki took several steps back and knelt on one knee, the traditional samurai stanza. she moved her left hand over her chest and gripped the handle of her kanta. she then jumped into action, her speed improved.
she jumped up, her legs bending easily under the weight of the large (to her) sword and went through the forms fast into several stances and moves. she then decided to show her what she didnt show her sensei, who helped her with her elemental ninjutsu.
she moved quick to the right, did a sideways flip with no hands and as she flipped she generated her chakra in her blade, elemental wise and extended it to 3 feet more than her own kanta. making a water whip. as she landed she brought the water whip down. cutting the earth, but without eyes she didnt know how deep.

Xarias smiled at the display of elemental conversion Reiki had learned, and her speed is as quick as ever. She was sure to become quite the powerful Shinobi. She was already incredibly skilled with a sword, another thought Xarias concluded. Maybe she will master Kenjutsu by the time shes capable of seeing.. She thinks, standing tall. To Reiki, if she saw, it'd appear as if Xarias towered over her small body. Indeed. She was strong, and a Willow at that - But she was small.. And feeble. This made her capable of falling prey to larger and stronger Shinobi in this world.

"Hey. Want to test your vibration tracking? I can give you some snowy opponents to fend off." Xarias says, giggling lightly. She will train her to be more powerful then ever. Ki would certainly be proud of her if he had seen what she is capable of, even before her sickness has worn off.

reiki nodded. taking a rag and coughing into it first. something sticky and sweet was coming up. she folded the rag and pocketd it. she then kneeled once more and took off her shoes to learn the vibrations better, though she had to show her feet. the only thing different from a normal kids foot was that at the end of each toe it went to a gray point and above her achilies tendon was a little tiny pink spur that was still growing.
she tossed her bandaged shoes a few meters away and got ready for the training. "ready fama."

Xarias jumped, and twisted in the air - Utilizing the water and wind elements to a precise level creating an abundance of snow after she makes the ground tremble. Since it was night time, and early in the morning it was dark; providing the snow with the capability of not being melted. And it was also cold, keeping the snow at a lowered temperature. Xarias raised her arms and clenched her hands into fists; raising snow figures from the ground. About 30-40, actually. As soon as Reiki had said; "Ready Fama" Xarias pushed her position, throwing her arms out and sending a wave of 10 snowmen in her direction. They surrounded her. They werent dangerous, but they will just pelt her with snow.

reiki loved snow, she was born around it. but she figured that fama didnt know that snow enhanced her abilities as a swordsman and as a ninja. she jumped torward them, jumping on each to cut another. she took out her cough medicine and drenched it in mid air. then as she cut through one of the snow ment, she ground it against one of the rocks. setting it on fire. she then added her water element as a water whip, creating a steam blade. which means she could cut through the snow men even if she missed by a foot.
as she did that she kept her ears and feeling open, along with her nose.

Xarias smiles at the display of perfect calm behavior, even when in a tough situation. She laughed and began to speak, raising her arms again.

"Now, from above!" She says, launching another wave of 10 into the air in her direction. They made them throw snow-kunai, and snow-shuriken at her. They werent sharp, but good fake projectiles.

reikis ears moved a bit at the sound. she cut them in mid-air and jumped behind other snowmen for blockage. as they did that, she stuck her kanta behind the snowmen and used their inanimate drifts of snow for a barrier to get the rest. reiki nodded and smiled. she was hoping she was doing good, she hadnt gone this fast and long before.

Xarias shouts out in morale as she watches her baby girl fight off the snowmen like a professional swordsman would.

"Great! Better than anyone I have ever seen handle a sword!" She says aloud. She sent the entire rest of the group after Reiki, seeming to sound like a large wave of sledding boards rushing over a hill.

reiki bent her head low, thrilled in being praised. the praise made her slightly giddy.giving her more energy. as she heard the sleds, she jumped to the side, made a water whip and dragged it across the path they would take, she then ran back behind her wall and waited.
the snowmens sleds stuck to the freezing ice/snow. making them propell off and above reikis head. she then took her water whip again and in one motion she cut the snow men in half using only the water. after she was done, she sat down on the snow and panted. coughing into her rag.

Xarias was thrilled with the way Reiki had handled her 'foe'. She disappeared leaving a blow of snow in her path, reappearing behind Reiki, picking her up like a baby; and rocking her in her arms. Her Kanta, was on her back, but it didnt stop her from embracing her baby girl. She put her face close to Reiki's and pushed against her happily. "Baby girl.." She says, closing her eyes, and squeezing harder. ".. I love you." She whispers lightly. As she let her right arm fall and melt the snow. She then compressed the water and launched it into the clouds. She set her baby down, and sat down with her in her lap, laying her down. She brushed her ghost-white hair with her hand; her soft hair brushing in between her slender fingers. She just rubbed her head. The cool air around them, was now gently steaming producing a light heated feeling.

reikis face was flushed and was smiling. feeling warmth, her fama and the praise in her heart. she did well for fama and that was all that matterd. "i love you too fama." she said, laying on her lap, her hands balled up and limp for the time being. if there ever was a time to beleive in complete bliss, this was the moment.

Xarias held her close, and enveloped the two in darkness. The demonic dragon she summoned was released from the ground below them, which was shaking prior to the feather-feeling of it picking up the group in a bliss, and split second. They flew through the air, the shadows withering below as lights flickered on and off from passing cities and villages. ..Hm.. Xarias thought, touching Reiki's head. This allowed Reiki to see vision from Xarias' point of view. She looked down, and all around - Allowing Reiki to take in every beautiful sight which shined through the darkness. The moonlight opposed a great elegance over everything it spread its grace upon. The stars lit up like diamonds scattered in a bag of jewels. The most pristine at that.

reikis blue eyes turned brown now that she was able to see. she gripped onto fama as she saw everything. she saw! she could actually see! she then looked up at fama. so this was what it looked like to see color, to see shapes. she once tried imaginig it but actually seeing it made her mental notes look like childsplay. "thankyou fama!"
she hugged fama, even though she knew that she wouldnt be able to see color, shapes and the beutiful sky when she gets her sight in a few years. so she cherished it as much as she could. burning it into her memory filled with sounds and smells.

Xarias smiled. She could tell Reiki was happy.

"I want to show you something.. Something noone but I have ever seen." She said, taking her hand off of the girls head. She controlled her demonic entity, and flew higher then the skies could be seen from. Into the peridot of space itself. High into the pristine feeling of nothingness, no gravity, no scent. Nothing. Just a beautiful sight, one which the human organism could not even imagine. "In order for you to be able to breathe, im going to need to bite you.. It will hurt. Do you want to see what I have to show you? I promise the pain will stop.." She says, clutching Reiki in her arms, tightly. As the dragon continued flying up, she commanded it to stop - Just before hitting the first layer of the atmosphere.

reikis eyes looked up at fama. "fama, i dont have lungs. you should know that." she rememberd in her 'clan academy' that they showed them that they only had a few organs which humans had many. the only large organ was their blood since it did most of the duties that the organs we didnt have did.

Xarias simply looked at her.

"The air is different up here, Reiki.." She says calmly. ".. You will be killed if you inhale the particles." She sighed. She hugged her once more before leaning down, and biting her neck - Her juggular vein to be exact. None of her blood was drawn, but pain could be felt. A rush of an odd toxic air flows down Reiki's throat, allowing her to survive even the particles of outer-space.

reiki closed her eyes. used to pain of this sort. her whole life she had been filled with injections, dejections, bandages and cleanrooms. though she wasnt usd to being this high and seeing. though since the disconnection was lost, she was in the dark now. the dark that once seemed so calming and comfortable seemed scary now.

Xarias uplifted her dragon, passing through the atmosphere of Earth's boundaries and into space itself. She flew fast, but no wind blew against them - For there was no oxygen up here. The stars were beautiful, and they shined even brighter now. As they flew, Xarias once again touched her hand upon the head of Reiki-chan, allowing her to see again. The entire view was absolutely marvelous. The stars shined bright, blindingly. The various planets and comets were rocky surfaced, lightning storms formed around them. Upon multiple occasions the most beautiful rainbow-like array of colors could be seem very often. Overall the sights were unimaginable to the human mind. Breath taking. More mind absorbing then the most powerful of Genjutsu.

reikis eyes turned brown once again, it was like someone took all of nature and exposed it 300x the beuty. she knew that this was as good as it will ever get and that even if she lived in a life of darkness all of her life, that she would cherish this moment forever. she looked up at fama, though she thought that even if everyone saw the stars like she did, they would still call her the most beutiful thing that man and nature had seen. "fama, is this heaven?" she asked

Since Xarias was overlooking the vision, she could also read Reiki's mind. She looked down at her and smiled. Her face was gorgeous, and her eyes were beautiful if the blindfold was to be taken off. Eyes which were more stunning then the colors displayed around them, at that. She simply smiled.

"No, Reiki.. This is not Heaven. This is what human's call: Outer-space. But.. This is what I call my home. This is where I came from, Reiki." She explained, pointing all around at the beautiful colors. She flew around meteors with grace, her dragons tail slithering along as well. The dragon moved viciously, while the two stayed still in harmony.

reiki looked around. so this is where they made all of the mothers. this is where they made all of the grownups and all of the people she loved. no wonder they were so diferent. she could imagine kam eating pork on those little rings and falling off. she could see ki trying to teach the dragons to boil tea and she could even see fama gazing up at the not far away stars that you could almost reach with your bare hands.
