[[Very nice title]]
Kidate sped through the deep forest, very far into the night. The moon shined down but gave little light, its beams not being able to penetrate the thick canopy of the trees. Kidate's armor was gone, his blade hanging at his side. His face was splattered with mud, and his eyes continued to flicker from green to violet. Inside his head a war raged on, every soul fighting for control except for Gouzen. Kidate grabbed onto a branch firmly and held on tight, blood trickling from his palm because of the friction caused when he stopped himself on the rough bark. He looked over to a flickering light and gasped. Suddenly, Kidate felt himself being dragged to the back of his mind. His body went limp, and he crashed to the ground. When Kidate stood back up, his eyes were glowing a brilliant violet and his skin was a darker tan. Kidate's hair had taken a yellow tint to it, and his claws seemed to grow a tad longer. Reaching into his right pocket he removed a chain and clasped it around his neck. The extra links hung over and down his chest, making small noises with every breathe that he took.
When Kidate neared the fire he noticed a man sitting by it, taking a drag on a cigarette. Deciding that he wasn't even worth the time it would take to remove Warugi, Kidate threw up his hand. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew out the fire and sent ashes from the end of the cigarette flying. In the thick forest there was no light, but Kidate had sensitive eyes in the dark. He neared the shinobi's back and drew back one hand. Suddenly, a wooden spike began to form around his arm. Then, more and more spikes began to form. They shot forward like snakes, aiming to pierce through the shinobi's back.
