"well that hurts" virgil said as he looked at his shoulder "somebody should fix your anger problems, have you ever though of a shrink" he picked up kisho an threw him at Nina "and ki, you can try all you want to take my chakra, you won't be able to take it all, at least not before i can stop you" he spreed his wing and flew into the air "shall we begin" as he rose, he raised his arm and twisted his wrist and the skies darkened as the clouds came together and began to spiral above him

ki leaned back. and did an unfamiliar handsighn. "i hate my job..." he closed his eyes. "oh spirits of thy sacred realm. bend thee to your will." his hair turned blue. "mizu, fly." mizu jumped out of his robe and turned into an ice bird with ki on her.

"ha, ice, bad move" he flipped through some hand signs than said "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu" and spit out a giant ball of fire at Ki

the fire hit a hundred yards away. ki was protected by some spiritual forsefeild. a blue bal formed in kis hand. and he straitend it out into string. he lassoed virgil around the neck and pulled him to the ground. he was hanging on the rope. " you cannot leave this spirit of judgment. if you do, you will become a spirit and be haunted by your worst fears. and your biggest mistakes. if i cut this, you will be mentally tortured until you finally die of starvation. even i couldnt be released from this. and you have to tell the truth. if you dont, you die and will not be reincarnated." ki was drawling his voice. he was actually bored!!!

"ha, i fear nothing, not even death, and i've never mad a mistake in my life" he grabbed the rope and began to pull ki down to him "and even if you were to kill me, 'mother' would never let me disappear, one of my remnants will rise up, become the new me, and take my place"

ki rolled his eyes. the string could never leave his hand and he didnt budge. " your mother is nice and loving. but your heart has grown cold and black with greed. you talk about her like shes a prize and not the person that brought your sorry soul life." ki pulled out his left index finger and touched the string. ki was pulling out virgils soul. " i would never let a cretin like you enter the peacful spirit realm. im just going to have to destroy it." virgil felt faint as his soul was halfway out of his body.

"that horrible wretch of a human is not the being i'm talking of" he began to resist ki's attempt to remove his soul "and do you think that such an attempt on my life would work" he smiled as one of his clones dropped out of the sky, slicing off ki's arm at the shoulder as he fell

ki regrew his arm as fast of a blink of an eye. it wasnt the left arm that held the soul, but ki accedenally pulled harder on the string. making his soul ome completely out. it traveled up the string and jumped into a black hole in the sky. the realm of lost souls. where it can never be found. virgil was nothing but an empty shell now.

Kisho stood up and walked over to the body than looked at ki and said "don't tell me you killed him, please tell he he is still alive"

ki sighed. he had circles around his eyes. " he is alive, in a sense. but his life in not in that shell. its in the realm of lost souls. were when they go there, they can never come back." he was rubbing his head. he had used a large amount of spiritual energy to do that.

"well in this world his body has died" he dropped to his knees "do you realized what you've done"

ki dropped to the ground. " probrably worse than i imagined. i shouldve listend to my human instincts and not draw back....."

nina was upsidedown on a tree. " what did he do? and can i eat now?"

"it's not that" he stood up and looked at ki "there is a reason we didn't want him to die, we've killed him before, 3 times, and each time, he's come back, in a new body, same mind set, same goals, but stronger" he began to walk back to his village "we don't know how, but when he dies, his clones know, and one of them rises up and becomes the new virgil"

"but he had reached the lost soul realm. and he canot come out. not even the strongest soul can come out." ki was close to sleep right now

"the soul doesn't matter, each one is the same as the original, it's something the 'mother' of his did for him" he turned back to face ki "if we could have killed such an evil man like that to begin with, don't you think we would have"

ki was asleep. his chi was drastically low and his hair was darker than ever. almost gray.

"even though he did so much, he barely accomplished anything" he picked up ki and threw him over his shoulder and began walking back to the village

ki woke up and practically jumped ten feet. then he saw it was kisho. then he started cleaning his ear with his pinkie. "and thats the story of my life, you got any ice?"

"ya, i always carry ice with me" he sighed and continued walking "well i suggest that we head back to the village and rest"

"kay." ki was swallowing the ice cubes whole. " guess what. i almost found my signature animal."

"well that might be all well and good, but i'm not quite sure this is the time to talk about it"

"hm, then what is? life and death never ceases to exist, so why pause and dwell upon it?"

"who ever said i wanted to talk about life and death, i just don't think that right now is the time to talk about you almost finding some animal" he walked outside the forest and found a river "he we are" he said as he began to follow the river south

ki shrugged. he meant that he had found his signature animal. his main ancestor, his totem. the totem that gives him a reason to belong in this world. "well, im up for a nap."
