well im not sure how the templet for a trap would got so ill just post the name rank and description.

description. a small pebble about two inches cubed (only its round). there is a small letter bomb sealed inside the pebble. kaga can access the letter bomb at will. when the letter bomb explodes it sends a shower of small white hot bits of rock every were. one of these will not do to much harm. it is only harmful if the shards of rock get into your eye. many of these could be a problem.

This counts as a weapon.

As Kitsuke said it's a weapon and also you would need a jutsu to active such a trap, if it's similar to a letter bomb.
