A small reunion (Private)

Shana had just finished her training, and returned back to her house for the rest of the night. It was dark outside, and she was getting a little tired, though she decided she would stay up a little longer, to get something to eat, and drink. It was quiet around her house, as she was the only one who lived there, for a long time. She had no other family members, other then Eki, though his disappearance years ago left her alone. Shana wore the outfit she had always worn as a ninja, and she had the cross on her forehead, representing her clan, as well as other visible marks around the top of her back, and on her shoulders, that looked like the mark on her forehead, just in slightly different forms. Shana walked through her living room, and placed her sword against the wall, in the corner of the room, then walked into the kitchen to find something to eat.

As night fall set in, the haze from the high mountain peaks descended on Kumogakure, amongst them, a figure moved slowly, silently, head bowed in thought. Masked in dim light from windows and shopping stalls, the man passed unnoticed through the streets, winding his way towards the end of his elongated journey... Home.

Stopping, Eki raised his head, staring longingly at his family's residence from the centre of the street. His clan had been wiped out in his absence, any information on his parents or siblings disappearing in the dusts of time. Sighing, he climbed the steps slowly, taking in the disparity of his situation. Everything he knew was gone... Had he abandoned them, was his training for nothing? Thinking the house to be empty, he slowly pushed open the front door, stepping into the foyer.

WAIT!

His nose picked up on a scent, something that had been lost to him for years, but what could it be. There was a light rustling in the adjacent room as well, the tap of steel on wood, then padded footsteps moving away. Could there be someone here? A thief attempting to claim his families heirlooms, or perhaps even an enemy in wait? Stepping lightly, Eki slid around the next corner his back now against the wall just beside the entrance to the kitchen. Holding his breath, the sannin slowly moved his hand towards a fold in his kimono, making a light ALMOST inaudible sound as he removed a scroll. His Naginata no Oni, it hadn't seen battle in years. Was today the day?

He edged closer to the door.

Shana, who was preparing ramen now, was concentrating on the soup, waiting for the right moment that they would become cooked, and ready to eat. Due to the sink running, she hadn't heard a thing coming from the living room. Not paying any attention to her surroundings, she hadn't noticed anyone walking in her house, and sneaking around, or heard anything other then the water. Shana stood straight up, from being slouched over the counter, and stretched, with a yawn following it. About a minute later, the noodles were done, so she grabbed the cup, and took a pair of chopsticks, and began walking towards the living room door, completely unaware of who's behind the wall. Shana was slightly tired, so she had her eyes a little closed as she walked, and placed the chopsticks sideways in her mouth, so she could use both hands to hold the cup, since it was hot.

As soon as the intruder's head poked out, Eki lunged, moving quickly past his target, he recognized the situation instantly and reacted with the fluidity and accuracy that only a sage could perform. Reaching out with his hand, he grabbed one exposed end of the chopsticks before quickly sliding on his feet to his target's back, stopping with his forearm pressed against what he now recognized to be a woman's neck. Having the chopsticks held in the arm allowed him to place her into a simple lock, the chopsticks in her mouth not allowing her to move her head forward, and his forearm not allowing her to move back. With his free hand, Eki clutched the scroll tightly, ready to reveal it's contents at any moment.

Before pressing down on the chopsticks to cause pain, Eki gave due time for a response, asking what in his mind, was a very simple question. "You will have one chance to leave, and one chance only. That chance is now. Will you go quietly?"

The sudden surprise of a ninja putting her into a lock scared her a little, and the force of his grabs caused her hand to jump up, spilling the hot water and soup all over herself. A little scared, she remained quiet, for she knew if she made a wrong move, he would end her life fast. As Shana began to slightly tremble, the man was trying to force her out of her own house, and by the strength of the man, and how he reacted so quickly, and unnoticed, he was a high ranking ninja, maybe even a missing nin trying to rob her. Shana nodded her head slightly, moving it all she could, with the force of the chopsticks against her mouth, and not being able to talk because of that.

Eki nodded to himself.

"Then leave."

As he said the words, he dropped the chopsticks, although he wasn't that wet behind the ears. Knowing upon release that his enemy may try and retaliate he completed a series of moves, all before the chopsticks even hit the floor. Dropping the scroll, he slid his feet again, drifting away from his target and kicking it under a nearby shelving unit. With both hands free he then brought them together to form a hand seal, all the while still behind his enemy's back. Activating the flat shadow technique was clearly his best stealth option. With most of the lights in the home off there was nothing but shadows to hide in. With that, Eki disappeared, watching his target from none other then her own shadow.

She looks so familiar. Could she be akatsuki... Too young. Maybe one of their children. WHERE DO I KNOW HER FROM!

Taking his eyes off Shana for a moment, he glanced towards the scroll, visible from his spot on the floor, hidden from view from above. It would be safe for the time being.

Daira Kage no Jutsu [Flat Shadow Technique]

Daira Kage is a technique developed by the Gisou clan. By charging themselves with chakra, they can flatten themselves thoroughly, turning into a shadow. Movement in this form is difficult, as it requires moving through the shadows of other objects. Any direct light will end this jutsu.

Shana took a deep breath as the chopsticks fell, and she was released, though she was forced to leave. Peaking behind herself, she didn't see the man, knowing what he had done, though not being able to see the mark on his forehead, now that he was apart of the shadow, made her think it was maybe a Nara. Shana slowly walked forward, brushing the wet noodles off her wet cloths, and body, and a few off her head. She picked up her sword which was in the corner against the wall, and crossed it on her back. She then grabbed a bag that was laying on the couch, and began walking towards the door.

Watching her every move, Eki was simply relieved she was leaving, until he saw her pick up the sword. No, it couldn't be. Dashing quickly, Eki began resuming partial form before he had even reached his destination. Grabbing his scroll as he came up through the floor, the cabinet shattered into bits as his frame moved through it to stand in front of the exit to his home. Naginata no Oni was out at this point, and while Eki may have been standing some ten feet away from what he considered to now be a thief, the blade's point was merely inches from her face, the entire weight of the gigantic weapon held up only by Eki's one hand. Wasting no time, Eki got down to business, while his voice still showed no sign of anger, it spoke slowly, as if his voice itself needed to be careful now.

"Where did you get that blade?"

Kitsuke one day decided to meet a friend of his in Kumogakure. Walking in the streets of Kumogakure was quite frightening for Kitsuke, " I hope Raikage-sama doesnt see me now, I dont want to do 100 sit-ups..." Continueing on a familiar house. " Ah, its good to see this house again after 3 years... Nothings changed at all..." He carefully placed his hands on the door knob, unaware of a shocking position that he will see when he opens the door. Being a close friend of the owner of the house, Kitsuke didn't bother to knock anymore, as he had touched the house, he felt 2 chakra signatures inside the house. And he was sure that Shana is one them, but he cant put his tongue on the other one. " Who the hell is that other person...?.... well I might as well check it myself..." Without knocking Kitsuke entered the room, only to find Shana being pointed by a giant halberd in the face by a shadowy person. " Sha--sha--shana?...." Kitsuke thinked for a few seconds, " A giant halberd?... familiar chakra...? a person inside this house pointing a giant halberd to someone?.... Eki?.." Kitsuke stammered after that " E-ee-Eki?... is that you? what are you doing pointing your halberd to your sisters face?..."

With no response, Eki's waited patiently, his ear twitching as he heard a footstep on the porch outside. Raising his free hand, he aimed it at the door, waiting for it to open. As it did, his forefinger burst into a green flame, ready to activate a technique to dispose of the newcomer if need be. Then Kitsuke spoke.

Recognizing the voice instantly, Eki's halberd fell, it's heavy blade digging into the floor boards. Not even realizing what he had said Eki burst into laughter. "Kitsuke! Is that you?!? You haven't changed at all my friend." Then it donned upon him, and Eki turned his eyes back towards his sister.

"Shana..." Immediately forgetting himself Eki lunged forward, grabbing his sister into a tightly locked hug.

As Shana heard that the man who was forcing out of her own house was actually her brother, she was a bit relieved. Being kicked out of her own home, but a strange man would sort of be embarrassing to her, especially if Kitsuke was right on the outside. When Eki hugged her tightly, she let out a small sigh over his shoulder. Peaking over at Kitsuke, who was standing at the door, Shana became a little nervous. She lightly hugged her brother back, feeling happy that the rumors of him jumping off a cliff, or even his death wasn't true.

Kitsuke laughed hard after seeing such a funny scene. Kitsuke walked towards both of them, smiling at Shana and tapping Eki on the back. " We have grown quite old Eki, but we havent changed..." Kitsuke said. His former appearance gone. Back in the days when both of them are still partners in crime. Kitsuke was only wearing a blue cloak. But this time around Kitsuke has been wearing a white cloak, full of seal like papers on the shoulders, signifying a Sannin's look. " Well, can someone explain to me what happened?, and what could have happened if I didnt get inside here? " Kitsuke's face is plastered by a smile, showing a man who never gets angry at all, funny for a Sannin like him. Well it has been quite a long time before he last saw both Shana and Eki Gisou.

Eki smiled slightly, letting his sister go and picking up his halberd, resting it on his shoulder. "Well Kitsuke, as you know, I've been gone a really long time. Having made my return I've discovered that the rest of my clan has been disbanded... I didn't even think Shana was alive. But now I'm back, and I may or may not have thought there was an intruder in my family's house." Grinning now, Eki turned to his sister.

"Shana... I didn't even recognize you... You've changed so much, you've grown intoa full ninja. And to possess one of our family's heirlooms?!? you truly are my sister."

Shana remained still, happy that her brother had returned. "I have been living here alone for a while..hoping you would return someday" She said to him, as she lowered her sword, placing it against the wall once again. "You changed as well, you no longer look like the young Eki i once knew" she said, before realizing she left a mess at the door of the kitchen, and on herself.

Kitsuke chuckled, " Yeah I didnt expect to see you back here... you've been gone for a very very long time... many things had already changed..." Kitsuke went towards Eki again tapping his shoulder 2 times, " Darkness has once again blanketed the lands..., our help are needed again..." his face suddenly turned serious. He turned his back again from both Eki and Shana, " Your disapperance,.. along with all other protectors of the lands... had caused evil... particularly Akatsuki to gain confidence to spread they evil deeds again... ", Kitsuke took a short breath before continuing, " Months ago, akatsuki attacked Iwagakure without warning.. without a warning... the Tsuchikage was out of the village... every Kage was gone... at the time the famous Kage Summit was on going... the village was left in wreckage apparently with the help of the willows which was thought to be exterminated by the past Raikage Kitaro Japna... came and was able to reconstruct the village for a short time..." He turned again now facing the window of the said house, " I came here to talk,... to Shana if she had news to you... but ... I didnt need at all... your back..." Kitsuke had a grin of his face.
