Except for a few scrapes and scratches on his face from training the only real noticeable facial feature is the tear shaped scar on the bridge of his nose. His kunai case is attached to his right leg, and strapped on with Velcro right below his Mist village headband. To protect his hands he wears full gloves amde of a non-permeable, and self cleaning membrane covred in leather; essential when one doesn't want his newly sown up friend to die of infection. He always carries an air tight gas mask in backpack and puts it on whenever in the field. The mask itself has two filters on both sides of the mouth, and has reflective bug like lenses to allow full vision, on the masks right cheek his clans insignia is prominently placed.
Character Personality: The world is not fair, and James knows this more this than he is willing to admit. Ever since his first mission, James has seen untimely death at the hands of another, as the greatest crime one could commit. Given his personality it only makes sense that he would choose to be doctor, his insatiable need to help those that have been injured makes him a ardently studious; spending hours in front of his desk reading and studying the medical literature. The hypocrisy of his situation does not escape him; he realizes that as a ninja it is sometimes necessary for one to kill; however he doesn’t care. From the very beginning he knew that he would not become what they wanted him to become; he was a doctor, he knew what he pledged, and as result he decided early on that he would never kill another man. The disciplinary action that had been taken against him for treating enemy ninja, after defeating them, helped little in changing his views. One such defeated nin returned home and spoke gaily of the darkly joking doctor that treated his wounds quoting him saying “ Huh, I just realized I ran out chakra fixing your arm. I would appreciate it if you didn’t kill me”, said the doctor as he fell to the floor. James knew what he was and he would never allow anyone to change his convictions.
Background Info: James belongs to a family with a less than reputable background. At best his family is full of scientists, and worst they’re the worst types of butchers. From the very beginning the children are taught the ways of medicine and expected to know a cadaver inside an out by 12. They’re not doctors however; they are terrorists, biological terrorists. The family members are aptly known as the plague bringers, using their knowledge of medicine, and anatomy to create some of the most potent poisons, and viruses tat man has ever known, and then unleashing them on anyone that irked them. As member of the family James was given the same education as any other member. Once it came time for him to be formally trained as Ninja, he felt he was more than ready. He received top marks in the academy, but had no practical experience to speak of. Due to this his father decided to take him on one of his missions, James was ecstatic and left with his father. It was a small mission nothing difficult all his father had to do was make a small village move away from an area that Mizu needed. Sadly, James saw what his families way really was, he saw his father unleash a class A virus on the entire village. Horrified he tried to help the infected, only to be infected himself in the process. His father fought long and hard to save his life, and for a time he didn’t known if James would survive. He pulled trough though, but thanks to that day he cannot bear to use what his family taught him to kill another human being. His family did not respect his choice to leave the “family business” and become a doctor, but he knows that if he is willing he can use what his family taught him to help people, and perhaps change what it means to be a Cratic.
