| "I'd like to see Mizukage-sama, please."
Those were the words that had started the whole debacle. The people at the door had stared blankly at him, despite his Mist-nin garb and forehead protector, completely not recognizing him. Which wasn't surprising of course, considering he was both a Genin and unknown, but they had done their jobs regardless. They'd first double checked his identity (Which took ten minutes of record searching and even then, they only found his academy graduation form and official ninja registration), a quick interrogation of the young man and finally as a precaution they requested he hand over his weapons, which the man had complied with quite voluntarily. The desk clerk was left with the weapon holster and the various armaments and the Genin was escorted quietly by another shinobi towards the reception area of the Mizukage.
Which was how he ended up sitting quietly in the room, awaiting the arrival of the Kage or anyone else who could speak for him. The escort was still in the hallway, waiting quietly with one eye on the young man and the other looking over his registration form. Jouijie knew everything was to be expected when someone like him requested a meeting, but he was a little off put by just how few people knew him...He -had- been in the office before for various assignments. Sitting on the chair, hands on his lap and eyes closed, waiting. He'd never see anyone of the rank who'd be checking on him coming -anyway-, he could at least do it without seeing the stares.

| Ki jumped into the room, his orange monk robe catching the eyes of the guards. His squinted eyes passed over them and to the gennin. "Ahehehe...seems I've intruded in a special meeting of Zu-chan." He laughed again, his deep voice portrayed in a girlish style of talking. Which sent chills up the guards spines. They knew this tall person that couldn't stand upright in the low-ceiling room.
Ki chuckled again and sat on Naizu's desk, whipping out a cup of tea from his sleeve. It had a red tinge to it. " Though I think I can chat with this new one here, Mr. drones. Please wait outside and say that ' Snugs" is here." He smiled again, taking a sip of tea. His white hair was in a long braid all the way down to his knees, swaying like a pendillum. the guards immediately bowed and left the room. Ki turned to the Gennin. "Now how are you? Life treating you well?"

| If anything Jouijie had been expecting, it had not been the landing of the man who'd quite literally jumped into the room. He hadn't the hardened reflexes of a trained ninja and so instead of leaping into the air and landing with his weapon drawn, assuming he'd had one, he'd planted his feet down hard and stood up even before his eyes had fully opened. Orange was the first color he saw when he looked. Staring quite deeply for a moment and shifting his feet as he sat back down slowly. The guards weren't worried so he had to be a Mist-nin, obviously. Or strong enough resisting wouldn't matter for a second.
When the orange-robed giant of sorts sat down on the Mizukage's desk so casually, Jouijie blinked and opened his mouth to speak, before the cup of tea and various other things happened...The guards dismissed and so many various mind-numbing sensory impacts happening at once. It was enough that the Genin just dumbly tilted his head to the side and uttered a very meager and meek "...Huh?" at first, before he caught himself. Shaking his head viciously and standing up, he put one fist against an open palm in a respectful greeting and bowed his head. "Ah...Ahem. I apologize. I am fine sir. I came to speak to Mizukage-sama about my team and status placement but it appears he is out at this time. I am Jouijie Seiashi, D Class Genin."

| Ki watched as the teenager was slightly dumbfounded. It was normal, as someone his age there was nothing else to do but be surprised. In which he needed to change if he was going to be a chunnin. " Ah, no need for formalities Iji-chan. You can call me Ki, my hometown name is too long and i don't think you have the baratone to pronounce it." He laughed, pulling out a small pot from the same sleeve. " How about some mango tea? Best in the Rukongai." He held out a tea cup so Jou could take it.
Ki smiled. " Naizu is out for a bit on personal business. He will be in at about..." Ki's left eye twitched for a second. Leaving a few seconds for his face to go completely blank. As he returned to earth, he smiled. " In about an hour and a half. He's on the mud flats right now."

| It took the young man a second to adjust, surprise was something he tried to avoid heavily but as soon as it passed, it passed and he sat back down. His form was polite, if a bit stiff for such an obviously young man. He smiled however as the man introduced himself and relaxed the formalities as he asked, replying "An honor, Ki." he said, bowing his head once more and then looking up as the tea was offered. Knowing it'd be some time before his request was answered and, of course, not wishing to leave until then...And knowing he hadn't eaten or drank all day previously, the offer of tea was welcomed.
Standing a little, he took the tea cup in his palm and held it for the man to pour, looking up as the other man seemed to blank out for a brief moment and when he returned, he not only provided the time the Mizukage would return, but he also provided his exact location. And the Genin smiled, understanding it now as he stood there with the teacup. "Thank you...Are you one of the village Jonin? I can't think of anyone else who could know that, let alone find it out without moving."

| Ki smiled as he poured the tea. The smell of the tea rose up. It was mixed with sweet beets (which explains the color) and brown sugar. " Oh, the pleasure is all mine. I feel younger when I'm around people like you. So full of hope and oppurtunities at your fingertips." He chuckled as he stopped the flow of the tea; placing it back in his sleeve. He examined the kid.
the kid was of slim build but had dense muscles. Making him perfect for speed and flexibility. His bones and tendons were long and dense enough to take the torture of battle. A good shinobi in and out. Ki played with the end of his hair as the boy asked a question about his position. " Eh? Jounnin? I wish, I'm just a simple Sannin. I'm planning to retire again." He smiled, this time his needled teeth showing. He was a carnavore.
"Well what about you? You have some good talents and you have long enough tendons in your arms, knees and elbows to be very agile." Ki pointed to the places he was describing in the body. After that, he took a sip of his tea.

| The tea smelled delicious to the young man and as it was poured he seemed to grow anxious to taste it, but amazingly resisted. He did have manners after all, practically beaten into his skull as a child by the various families he lived with. Once he was finished, he nodded. "I believe it's the opposite with me and those higher...I feel a deep sense of awe and wish to catch up to you, faster." he replied, his mind clicking as he said something vaguely philosophical without even fully realizing it. "Isn't that irony? The young rushing to catch to the elders and the elders wishing they had slowed down" he said, sitting down and setting the teacup in his hands, grinning almost sheepishly as it clicked, again. "No disrespect, Ki-sama."
The tea was delicious. He made a point of taking a small sip before the Sannin spoke and once he had, the Genin looked up at the man like he was mad. 'A simple Sannin' was like calling the Sun a 'Simple fire' compared to a torch or a lantern. "S-sannin? I...Now I find myself referring to what I said before. Awed and respectful." he said, grinning again as he tried to straighten his nerves out. In all his time, he'd interacted with people at Chuunin level and even then, only instructor grade. A Sannin? It was like living in a glass house your entire life without noticing and looking out one day to realize there was an endless field. The magnitude was startling.
He did keep his outward calm well, holding the tea cup deftly as the Sannin began to point out his strengths, almost blushing from the attention. "I passed the academy and have been doing missions for a while, but I can't seem to find a team or an instructor...I wanted to attempt the Chuunin Exams this year, but without a team that's impossible. I've even been practicing creating and using techniques for it." he lamented openly, comfortable enough to share his problems. "The instructors told me I was good with Taijutsu, but I prefer using Ninjutsu."

| Ki smiled at the boy's high-ranked education. The basic sentencing of phillosiphy was lost to Ki. He had never known any patterns in their world and never will. He let out a sigh. " Life goes slower when you get old, giving you too much time to reflect and look back upon your sloppy road. It makes you want to go back and repave it with bricks of steel and iron so others will follow. The young ones who chase after us, fulfill that need by adding to our own achievements. By paving that road not with steel, but with gold. " Ki knew that gold was high priced here, making it a good description. For now.
Ki laughed at how high-strung he was. Seeing the muscles tighten and stretch over the dense bones. " You can't find a team because they're already in full swing. It seems that the protocol is a bit rusty. There have been people coming to the mist like myself and my other student Hito that have been taking up the squad's time and energy. Making the system a bit slow and rusty." Ki listened about Jou's self-proclaimed capabilities. For all of the decades he had been around shinobi's he knew that they gave off less than they knew. Consiously or unconsiously. It was simple.
"you know, most of the time gennins have a hard time making jutsus because the lack of attention they paid to the great hand sighns. Being one as myself and knowing no jutsus, you have an advantage that i do not have. The taijutsu i can help with since swift, hito and you are mainly either tai or weapon based. I also know a bit of creating weapons and i also know where all of the metal deposits are. In addition to weaponry, i can teach you mining and smelting your weapons in case you have long-term missions, eh?" Ki was saying in simple terms. Ki took a small sip and grinned. This was becoming a fruitfil meeting.

| The way the man spoke was refreshing to the Genin, used to the instructor and Chuunin habit of making things very brief and distant. Ki spoke with a familiarity and comfort that was welcome and practically unknown to the Genin. He nodded in understanding as the man finished, recognizing it quietly. It only cemented that philosophy in his mind as something he could learn from.
High-strung was a word for it, but it was more that he was anxious. Sipping the tea again, he found himself looking up and attentively listening as the Sannin explained the system around the team assignments and various other issues in the village. He almost didn't envy the Mizukage's job dealing with it, but at the same time felt a bit odd at the notion that others presence was holding up his own improvement. But as soon as he thought that thought, his rationality attacked it and he remained quiet, listening but only sipping the tea in response.
He wasn't special and he knew it. Others had to come before him and he was just glad that someone had explained it. Others came first and it gave him time to improve himself before moving on, didn't it?
As Ki mentioned not paying attention to the hand seals, the young Genin smiled over the rim of his tea and took a sip, deciding not to flaunt those abilities that had made him pass his academy classes with relative ease. It was one thing to be proud of it, another -entirely- to brag in front of a Sannin who could easily put him down using only the teapot in his hand. But then the offer came and the young Genin's eyes opened wide, staring a little now. He'd heard they took apprentices, but...
"O-of course I would be very honored if you could teach me. I would take any training you could give me..." he said, bowing his head softly as he looked up, swallowing down the sense of awe and unbalance he felt for a moment. Though it took a bit, he finally finished. "...But I don't want you to think you have to, sir. I'm just another Genin. I only want to defend my village and grow stronger...I wouldn't want to hold you back from retiring either."

| Ki laughed, setting down the tea cup. His squinted eyes lightening up a bit. " Sir? Honored? Holding back?" he pointed out the key sentences that caused the deep laugh. " My, my you sure are a ticket, eh? I've been retired three times in my lifetime. One when i was 76, second when I was 123 and when i was 145. Believe me when I tell you that I will have plenty of times to retire and die of boredom." Ki looked at the papers and stacked them in selective order, cleaning up after his Mizukage. " I have been in almost every village, with every position in the most dire times. The only thing i get a kick out of now is raising Gennins to be kages or head Anbus. Naizu was always unstable when it came to improvisation and selectivity of his priorities and he still is. He was almost the same with you. Dense bones, eagerness in his heart and the ability to look like he was fine." Ki grinned. " I already have two other students, one of which is being taken over by Naizu since he's a bit...quiet. So a good position has opened up for you and I dont find many good people like you around in these dreary mission rooms." he chuckled, putting away the last paper.
The only time i come here is to either bother Zu-chan, to give him a rest or to hide from my idiotic mad scientist of a brother." Ki laughed at the image he had produced. "again, i can't teach you any jutsus, but i will ask Naizu or any other shinobi to help you."

| There were moments in Ki's speech that positively baffled Jouijie. He was staring down a Sannin after telling him he would love to learn all these things he needed to know but ten telling him he didn't want to hold him back. He'd expected the man to harumpf and walk off or declare it was all a joke anyway. To hear the man was well over A hundred and forty-five years old, that was...Unthinkable. He'd lived nearly...Six of Joui's lifetimes already. It was positively insane.
Taking another soft sip of the tea, he just shook his head and waved the thoughts and confusion out of it, being compared to the Mizukage. He didn't want to get a big head, because he'd heard the horror stories of overconfident ninja and the mundane deaths they'd been given. The academy instructors loved to recant them to the other children, but most of the time Joui had faded into the background so much that it was hard to give him a lecture on overestimation.
The offer stood. The Sannin was honestly inviting him to become a member of his students, to train him. And the young Genin pushed aside the urge to just accept immediately, actually taking the time to respectfully return the gesture. "I...I would be absolutely honored. I promise I won't fail your expectations if you teach me." he said, bowing his head again and smiling madly as he tried to finish off his tea, resisting the urge and declaration to go train immediately...

| Ki smiled and clapped his hands together which both of them were wrapped carefully in heavy gloves. " Ah, that would be nice. Though we still have something to go over, how will you fair with a street-girl and an absent-minded machine? I picked Hito up from his leg being ripped off from a dog and the girl tried shooting me with an arrow." He laughed at the memory. " Even though Swift may be a bit course, she has a high determination. Though Hitogoroshi is a bit of a drone, he is always exact on his timing and planning when he has a voice. I think it will be fin to see how a level-headed person such as you can put them together and pull them into a team with your own abilities that you fail to tell me about." He smiled. Ki had been testing him from the begining about his body structure, his education, his understanding of the system, his respect and his modesty.
Ki saw the surprise on the boys face and smiled again. " If you're wondering, i am exactly 172 years old and will be 173 in a month or two. birthday gifts stopped coming when i turned 95." He shifted a bit and sat down on the floor indian style. The desk becoming a bit too uncomfortable. " I have a haphazard way of teaching and Its costing swift he sanity and Hito a few limbs. Swift doesnt think of the world as her playtoy as i do and thinks that objects around her are there for only hiding and moving about, which is her undoing. Hito refuses to think for himself unless ordered to and underestimates peoples ability to adapt. From what ive seen, you are going to need to be a lot less humble about things if your going to survive. we can fix the rest, but the mindset is what you control and not me. 75 percent of the time you are usually on your own. i am only there to either feed you, give directions or place comedy relief." He smiled again at the last part. Things were getting really stuffy in the room with all of this high-strung talk.

| There was the introduction of his new teammates. That was going to be interesting, wasn't it? The way things were said, Jouijie seemed to be the odd man out. Both of the people Ki talked about were different from himself in enough ways that he seemed the odder of the three by comparison. Though of course, he nodded a little and responded honestly, with that annoying emphasis on keeping respectful. "I can't say for sure until I meet them. If they're your students then they must be good people however, and I would trust your judgment on them. I'll do my best to get along with them." he declared softly, taking the final drink of his tea and setting the cup down in his lap. The Sannin seemed pleased with his choice and he was infinitely glad for that, the man made him smile more just by his attitude. The testing never even crossed his mind.
The man's real age blew him over completely. He was ancient in most terms, but he was still an amazingly energetic and wise for that kind of lifespan...Which also made him wonder how he'd pulled that off. But immediately he pushed -that- idea away, not even delving there. He hadn't even mastered the basics yet and was barely old enough to contemplate lengthening his time...
Ki continued though and finally got down to the part of the matter that was all business. The boy sat a moment nodding as he spoke, paying close attention to his words and the details as he memorized them. Swift and Hito or Hitogoroshi. Those two names were pulled into his head to stay now. "I understand...It's sort've my nature to defer, I think. I'll try to grow out of it while you train me of course. And I've no problem with being left alone to train and such...Most of the time I handle the training by myself anyway. If I had people to train with, even fellow students, it would be a great improvement over my usual methods." he explained, sitting up and moving, making sure to pick the cup up and he offered it back to the Sannin, waiting.

| Ki quietly took the teacup and slipped it in his sleeve. There was a shifting of mettalic sounds as he did so that wasn't audible before. Ki covered his mouth while he yawned and replied back. " I hope you get along too. The last time someone didn't get along with swift, he didn't show back to my tea shop for weeks. It's good to have a bit of controversary once in a blue moon. What ever that means." He smiled as he stood up. the black and white kimono rustling with his body. He then turned to the window and took a deep breath of air.
" There will be rain soon. I hope he doesn't rust..." he mumbled under his breath. A language that was full of hisses and clicks and other vocals that could be slightly heard at the edge of Jou's capabilities. Ki turned and scanned him just as he did in the begining. "There is one of the two i would like you to meet so you can get a good footing." Ki turned to the door as if to wait.

| Hito quietly opened the door to the mizukage office. He hadn't been here before and so he looked around. His expressionless face roving the depths of the room. Hito's plain black hair and plain black eyes made him look more pathetic. More pathetic than his soaked black coat and his own skinny form that stuck to it. There was a rip in his skin and a metal finger was poking out of it, sharped to a point. THe most terrifiying thing was that is was bathed in blood. Some of the spatter still on his merciless face.
Hito then faced ki and another figure whom he stared at as if Jou was a T.V. HIs black eyes peircing through, trying to unravel how this human ticked. " You gave the signal. Do you need anything?" His staticy voice made him sound more and more like a machine.

| A low stern voice came to the room and more specifically directly in front of the new genin named Jouijie Seiashi. "Unless I tell you to enter my office, you are not to place a nail inside it unless you want to test me" as a body formed from water. When it finished forming, the Mizukage was standing in front of the boy without smile and with a firm stare into his eyes. The thing was, Naizu wasn't mad at the kid in any sense and didn't care of him being in the office because he was already notified of the presences in the office. He was doing this strictly to test the young ones heart and to see what he'd say to being approached in this manner. A short time after, a dog would hop through the window and walk straight to chunin and simply spoke two short and to the point words, "Keep quiet". The dog wore a mist head band and after speaking to Hito, he walked over to the yellow eyed man and sat by him merely looking up for a short moment to basically let him know there was no problems, though Ki would probably know. "Is there a reason you've allowed yourself into my office without my consent to do so?" he asked without blinking and looking down at Jouijie. | |

| The way that Ki spoke of his new companion honestly made Jouijie think the man would be impossible to get along with. Or perhaps the Sannin just suspected the Genin would have difficulty with it. The strange clicking tone and command that the old Sannin gave made the young man tilt his head a little, standing now as he readied himself for the meeting with the person. And sure enough, they showed up. The man was younger, perhaps his age, and his expression was rather odd. The staring contest that erupted between them was also odd, but in the way that the young man seemed to dislike blinking out of it. Jouijie returned the stare for a moment, meeting the man's eyes and then nodding his head, raising a hand. The bloodstained coat actually seemed to impact him less then the man's staring.
It was in a ninja's way to have blood on them, metaphorically or physically. "I...I'm Jouijie, Ki-sama wanted me to mee- he began, but they were interrupted before he could complete the greeting. Water was in front of the Genin suddenly and he looked down, nearly jumping back when something seemed to burst forth from the water in front of him. He was ten seconds from reacting when he looked up at the man...And saw the Mizukage.
To put it simply, there was a myriad of expressions on the boy's face all at once, but the most prevalent was shock. His mind seemed to have frozen for a second, but in a split something overrode it. Immediately the young man was bowed over, his hands together and nearly touching the floor in respectful greeting and his mouth was moving. His outward state seemed to have been locked in place with a key after he'd seen who it was. "Mizukage-sama, please forgive me for intruding. I asked to see you without realizing I was intruding. I only ask you punish me for my transgression and not those who let me into the office. I was supervised until Ki-sama arrived." he declared. His tone was quite firm actually...Most people would've even faltered when asking for punishment, but no. He just put it all out at once.
And he was still being so respectful it was silly. Really silly.

| Ki laughed at the tight atmosphere. His grin reaching to his eyes again. His pointed teeth making the atmosphere more weird than suspensful. " Oh Zu-chan you're so stiff. Sit down and have a drink, I was simply seeing if this young one needed help. The reason I was here is to hide from Kamoku. He wants me to expand the island so there can be more room for a shinobi academy. I came here so you can sighn a joint-stock relationship and giving kamoku ownership of that little island as long as he has no quarrels with any nation or have any trade with them without your agreement. We also want to distribute the Guujins to the village they want to go to once they gain the rank gennin or chunnin, though you have to put the 'ok' stamp on it." Ki replied, ignoring the two gennins and his tea. His voice turned serious, though his smile still remained. " Kamoku cannot be with you to tell you this himself because he is picking out some recruits from the destroyed leaf. You know how he likes to play doctor." He laughed, putting attention back to his tea. | |

| Hito slowly walked inside. His skinny 16-year-old body slipping through the small enclosure. He then stood next to Ki in case he needed him. He black eyes stared at the bowing Versesai. It was interesting how the human body could contort to such a small state. Hito's mind rolled and contorted.
He turned to Naizu, to what he assumed was also a student of ki. " If he was supervised the entire time, then why is it a problem that they were both here by conicidence? Why not be calm and accept the turn of events like water melting from a frozen stream? The mizukage should know this out of all people. Flexibility is key for the water king." Hito looked down as he finished his sentence, people were very sensitive to his words and he regretted saying them as he always did.

| Naizu turned his head and looked at the chuunin for a moment, but Triagus spoke before Naizu did in order to preserve the Mizukages breath. "Son, I told you to keep quiet at this time and for reason, its things like that that will need worked on in order to become a better shinobi. When higher ups tell you something you are to listen to them" he said calmly and still sitting. Naizu turned back to the gennin and spoke, "You, Hitogoroshi, and Swift will be a part of team 1 and will be a team that will have many mission. I knew who was here prior and there is no problem with your entrance of my office today because of this. You presented yourself well in the face of conflict, and that is a definite plus for this time because of this...you're going on a mission. You are to take care of a group of bandits who seem to want to get their feet wet in crime, make sure your feet meeting their faces as an introduction to the land of don't piss off the Mizukage. Ki, you and Hito will stay here for this for I'll need to speak to you about this group. Jouijie, they were last seen in the north east part of town, you are dismissed to commence with this mission as of five seconds ago". Naizu then turned and walked over to his desk and sat on it looking at Ki for a second, "Is he always like this" he asked Ki of Hito.
(Versesai, rp out your mission in the ninja role play section, 3 posts with an 8 sentence minimum for each, then return to the mizukage office in a seperate topic to let me know of your completion or failure.)

| The four voices in the room all had such conflicting stories. Relax, Mizukage-sama doesn't mean it. Mizukage-sama is going to eat your souuuul~ And varying bits he almost didn't trust from Ki and the new one, Hito. He remained bent over and in the apologetic stance for quite a while actually, not moving and keeping himself insanely quiet whilst waiting for the verdict or punishment. He's just gotten the chance to train with a Sannin, a team and now...
..A mission?
Raising his head and looking up at the Mizukage, he actually collapsed his his knees and tilted his entire body, letting out a confused '...Eh?' of sorts as he was not only complimented for handling the situation well, but given a mission and informed of a future team. Of course, the moment of loss and insanity promptly faded as he realized that his Kage had given him a mission and he wasn't moving yet.
Standing upright like he'd been shocked, he bowed his head once more in respect and he put his hands together. He had a mission. An actual mission that involved doing something more then collecting rubbish or helping someone weed. "Yes, Mizukage. I'll return swiftly with word of my success." he declared, breaking the bow to stand up quickly and giving a similar bow to Ki and Hito, before quickly moving past them and heading out towards the door, stepping into the hallway. He broke into a run quickly, sprinting to the front desk and telling them of what the Mizukage had ordered. He was quickly given a small scroll with the mission details and his weapons were returned...And off he went out the door.

| Ki laughed at the serious face of the Mizukage. Tears almost streaming down his squinted eyes. " Ah, the Mizukage doesn't mind the intrusion of his mighty office unless when he comes in you turn into a frog. Hehehehe.....heehehehe... oh dear, im going to die of laughter...." Ki stayed sitting down, holding onto Hito's shoulder for support. That was when he heard Naizu ask the question about Hito. " Eh? the living robot? Yeah, he doesn't like the waste of human resources and tends to keep quiet. He also doesn't like wasted words, which is why you can hardly get a word from him unless its to plant stuff. Our own little Jonny Appleseed. Kehehehe..."
Ki then stood up and sat down in a chair while Hito stood to the wall. " Any more questions you would like to know about the Guujin Operation?" Ki's hand propping up his head made his long braid shift and fall over his shoulder. Making a small thunking noise on the floor as the end of the hair made contact with it.

| Hito was almost pulled to the ground as he was held by the cold hand of the Sannin. He never understood what was so funny. Was it because the boy's bow was so incompatable with its body structure? Or that he didn't do it properly? He would never know. He stared at Naizu without blinking as the boy left. His black glass eyes boring a hole into him. Was this the student of Ki? Would he need to be at this status in order to uphold the honor? Would he have to wear such tacky boots? Who knows.
Hito then walked to the corner and curled up, watching with his pitless eyes as they talked. The crazy man with the short white hair told him that he would need to collect as much data of Naizu as possible so he could understand whether or not he should move the village to a different place in order to keep it both safe and individual from most countries. Hito took the mans weight, height, fat and muscle percentage, volume intake, breath computation, and eye movements in case that would help. All of these weird jerky movements that humans made were so confusing so he might as well see if he can count them in a patterned proccession.
As they talked, he became sidetracked and looked out the window. A bird was munching on a worm mindlessly. though hito pulled the drawstring of his trailmix that he always carried and poured some on top of his messy, lanky hair. The bird stopped and hito remained still as the machine he was. The bird then hopped from the branch and into the room. Landing on top of hito's head while eating trail mix. Hito then zoned out totally, staring outside the window. His black eyes going nowhere in particular.
