Ryu vs W/E Empty
PostSubject: Ryu vs W/E   Ryu vs W/E Icon_minitimeFri 30 Apr 2010, 11:50 pm

The daylight, nearly blinded Ryu as he tried to find sight of his target. The humid day, making this worse. Not that it did, it had taken him this amount of time to collect himself. Now it was just a story of beating his opponent. The battle ground around him, held nothing, not even trees. It was just an empty desert field, the best you could do was dry hollow trees that could be of almost no use. Ryu had no idea how to move forward. He knew nothing about his opponent, not even a reason for him being attacked. The best he could do was work towards beating his opponent. The one standing menacingly in front of him, he had to move this along. The best thing about this was that there was equal ground. He had the element of the surprise, he knew what he could do, his opponent. Ryu began to dig his feet in the tough dirt below, feeling it out for everything that he could work out with. He began to judge every variable that he could think about at the current situation. Even the weight of the equipment he was carrying which for obvious reasons wasn't very much. This would be easy, he had a plan, now he just had to wait for his opponent to fall into the jaws of the shark. If all went well, he would have to use as little chakra as needed, but things never really did move according to plan. Using the small break in the previously light combat Ryu began to stretch and and flex his muscles. This fight as about to take a turn for the much more violent. Staring at his opponent, with the cold stare that would cut through people sending the sign of death Ryu disappeared in a puff of flame. A simple look up would show his body eclipsing the sun, the outline of his body creating the look of a menacing monster as he moved. But he was just about high enough to execute what he needed. Because of his placement in the sun, seeing him without being at least partially blinded would be almost impossible. Making the tiger hand seal, a large fuma shuriken appeared in his hand. At the same time, a tag bomb appeared in his left hand. The fuma shuriken and explosive clapped together in one simple movement, the bomb being lit at the same time. Thanks to the timer it wouldn't go off until about the time it got right in the face of it's target. Waiting until he was withing twenty yards above his target, Ryu began to throw. Throwing his arm back as far as possible Ryu launched the bomb rigged shuriken, flew at top speed towards it's target. From the eye, it was easily avoided, of course it would look like that. With the sun and the distance when the two weapons were combined, along with the speed at which it was spinning making the tiny flame almost invisible to the naked eye. Ryu's opening assault was not over yet, once again what seemed like him in the first place left in a puff of smoke. The shadow clone had done it's purpose, in the mean time, Ryu used what should have been a distraction to get in close, using Shinsoku to get in within ten yards. Ryu swiped his hand in a sideways motion, just like that a sideways wave of fire was shot out at his opponent. The heat off the flame being felt as it left his hand, scorching what little alive earth was there. There were three obvious options, moving up, towards the shuriken, which even if they were able to block the fast moving large weapon it would explode, shooting fire and shrapnel towards them. Or move towards the flame converging on them, which would sear and burn their bodies. Even if the flame ran through the shuriken, it would continue to keep moving, meaning moving back would not help much. Even so, Ryu could still always speed up the timer, and activate the bomb remotely.

Jutsu used
-------------------------------------------

Name: Shinsoku (神速, God-speed )
Rank: C
Element: -
Creator: Kostas
Description: A movement technique that allows the user to move at extreme speed, .It can be used to avoid attacks, as well as to attack at higher speeds, quickly overpower and dispatch, weaker opponents before they have time to react. Its superior to many high speed movements because the user can see what he is attacking and where. It also makes a different sound; rather than the usual swishing , Shinsoku makes a booming or static sound.

Name: Shadow Clone Technique
Rank: B
Element: None
Description: Similar to the Clone Technique, this jutsu creates clones of the user. Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original.

Name: Body Flicker
Rank: D
Element:
Description:Body Flicker Technique: This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and their intended destination. (Ryu uses fire to mask his movements.)

PostSubject: Re: Ryu vs W/E   Ryu vs W/E Icon_minitimeSat 01 May 2010, 9:23 am

Kidate stood alone in the midst of a massive, barren, field. The field held no life, no vegetation, no cover. It was the perfect place to attack Kidate, which was exactly why he stood there. As he approached this field he noticed a scent, carried to him by the changing of the breezes, a scent that worried him. It was one hundred percent human, which was rarely a friendly thing in Kida's line of work. So, Kida placed himself in a very appealing spot, practically taunting the scent to come out and fight him. The taunt had worked, the battle had begun. Kidate felt suddenly cooled as a shadow washed over him, the silhouette of the man blocking out the sun in his attempt to attack from the skies. Only shortly after he could hear the whooshing sound of a fuuma shuriken cutting through the air, and the sizzling sound of a small explosive fuse, ticking away. A light sound, indescribable by words, was heard in the background. Something like a poof, but more mellowed and dulled down. Suddenly it hit him, the acrid smell of flames. Directly in front of him a wave of fire seared the air. Reacting quickly, Kidate bent low and slammed his palm on the ground. Suddenly a massive wall of earth formed before him, protecting him from the flames. He then turned his left palm to the sky, releasing a massive gale of wind. The wind would not only send the shuriken way off course, but the force would tear the explosive tag from it, in the process ruining the seal and nulling the explosion. Standing up from his crouched position, he checked to make sure no more flames were coming, and kicked down his wall of earth. He now stood, on top of a two-foot tall hill of rubble, with an arrogant smile spread across his face. A low, rumbling purr erupted from his throat, he was beginning to have fun.

Ryu vs W/E Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ryu vs W/E   Ryu vs W/E Icon_minitimeTue 04 May 2010, 6:18 pm

It didn't take much to set up, but it only backed up the thought that you get what your work for. His fuma was blown off course, and the bomb put out. That wouldn't matter much since it's true purpose was just a distraction. But the fire was blocked by an earth jutsu. It added to a small list of things Ryu knew about the person he was fighting. Vice versa it told his opponent that he was a fire type, if you want to even things out he was back at square one. On another note, his provocation hadn't worked, his opponent, didn't launch a counter attack like he expected. Was it possible that he was just trying to wear him out?. Probably move in the for the kill when Ryu had ran out of chakra. Though as long as he stuck to a certain set of jutsu's he would be fine. But he had lost his chance to "feel out" his opponent. Any more attempts would result in a counter, or him revealing much more about about himself. That wasn't good, the less there was to know about him during the fight the better. Ryu stood there, watching the laugh, nearly taking it on as a taunt against his very being. Ryu's first impulse, was to rush at the person who was threatening his life. Though any person with self control, and the the hope to survive, would know that the last thing you should ever do is rush at a person when it was the obvious thing they wanted. Ryu began to run through what he knew. This wasn't much, but the little he knew was effective, an earth type. The perfect counter for his fire jutsu's short of a suiton user. This would increase, the difficulty, he also knew that he would have to step up the strength, if he was to break through the defense. Once again, Ryu began to stretch, loosening his muscles for what was to come next. The sun was beating down on the battle ground. The pathway where, Ryu had launched his first fire attack was still scotched. He would be able to use this to his advantage. Once he was done, the sun had reached the hottest it possibly could all day. There would be no other, plays, Ryu had to take this seriously from now on. Ryu held his right hand out into the sky. In a puff of smoke yet another fuma shuriken appeared in his hands. Some would say when something doesn't work you should give up, but Ryu to some extent believed in "try, try again" and with a few tweaks that is what was going to happen. The fuma seemed to heat up from a distance, vapor on it, seeping off with the same wavy look as the far away sandy hard ground. There was nothing special about this shuriken, except for the fact that it was heated to a searing temperature. Getting down, lower for a better traction and a better start off for his attack. He created, this technique based off the same manipulation skills that his clan had given him. That combined with his natural affinity made things much easier. The wind behind Ryu began to gather and swirl towards his feet. Against what he wanted, this would show yet another thing he was capable of, but it was for an overall good cause. Getting into a position much like trackstar, Ryu used the boost and took off towards the unknown shinobi. Dirt being kicked up by the speed boost of the manipulated wind. Ryu stopped short just about twenty-thirty yards in front of his target. He raised both hands into the air, causing a kunai to appear, the usefulness of the method he used to carry his weapons, minimized the needed time, to get them and maximized the amount he could carry. Throwing his hand back as far as he could, Ryu jumped into the air, yet again wind manipulation increasing his thrust, and threw his shuriken at top speed. After the fuma had left his hand, a kunai was thrown just about 10 yards behind the shinobi, a tag bomb, connected, but not even lit. Just as the kunai left his hand, Ryu used the height of his jump to his advantage, spinning in the air and launching a large bit of blue flame at the shinobi. This flame was more powerful, and more destructive, the wonders of fire jutsu costing less to use. As his feet returned to their original position, a jet of fire appeared at his feet and began to propel him towards the shinobi. Sticking his left hand out, a small shimmer appeared as a near invisible flame, only aided once again by the sun flew out at his opponent. While as the final end, Ryu covered his hands in fire chakra to increase his destructive power. If none of the previous attacks worked, he could use the jets to change the direction he was moving an attack with devastating power.

Finally, Kidate's prey revealed itself. It seemed that fire wasn't his only trick. Kidate could see the wind warping around his prey, pushing him further and faster. It was a similar technique to Kidate's own, though it seemed to be under a little less control than Kida's. However, he couldn't really fault the man, he was fighting rather well. A fuma shuriken, seeming to warp and waver with heat, flew toward him, a kunai from a different angle, and even a blast of blue flames somewhere in the mix. Reaching down instinctively, Kidate grasped the handle of his Hayaigin. One clawed nail scratched and tore the paper seal that held the blade in its place, as he jerked it forward. A blast of chakra shot through the area, kicking up a surprising amount of dust and silt, creating a smokescreen. The pile of rubble beneath Kidate's feet scattered, allowing him to drop to the ground beneath himself gracefully. As the smokescreen cleared, Kida's opponent would find a gruesome sight. Hundreds of thin spines of silver were protruding from a wall of the same silvery metal that protected Kidate. The spines were long enough to reach his opponent, who was speeding toward him at surprising speeds, and strong enough to pierce him through completely without breaking. The shuriken struck a solid metal wall, sparking before it fell to the ground, useless. The kunai would be deflected by an incoming spine of metal, exploding on impact without any effect on either of the two men. As for the blast of blue flame, that would dissipated by spines of metal, heated but not melted by the flames. Kidate stood behind what appeared to a sculpture of a massive porcupine's back made of metal, a twelve foot sword extending behind him. He grasped the foot-long handle with both hands, crouching down low in preparation for any counters that might occur. Hopefully it would end now, though.

--Weapon in Use--
Name: Hayaigin - Quicksilver

Appearance:
Hayaigin is sealed into the form of a regular sized katana, which hangs in its sheath at Kidate's
waist. The sheath acts as the seal, and has a paper seal attached to it
to hold the katana down. When the seal is broken, and the sword is
drawn, the weapon comes out. The blade itself is nearly twice as tall
as Kidate,
and takes a great amount of skill to wield. The blade seemed to be made
out of polished silver, from pommel to tip. Even the tassel at the end
of the blade that is used to absorb blood from impaled enemies seems to
be woven from strands of silver. The blade reflects any and all light
that hits it, making it glow even at night. Along the first six inches
of the blade are several crater-like indentations where it seems gems
would fit.

Abilities: Hayaigin has an ability,
besides being so massive that it could cleave several people at once.
While the blade is in its released state, it can summon a special metal
anywhere along the blade or the user's body. This silver can be bent to
the user's will, and formed into any shape they choose. It starts out
in an almost liquid form, solidifying when the user commands it to. The
metal is the same silvery color as the blade, which gave it the name
Hayaigin. It is stronger than most metals, but can be broken with an
extreme force.

How it was obtained: The blade
was passed down from generation to generation within the Gyouan clan.
It was believed to have been the blade wielded by the great earth
wielder, Sun. The blade was given to Kidate's father, but never given to Kidate. When Kidate's father died and Kidate had no knowledge of the clan, the sword was taken and returned to the clan's counsel. Kidate retrieved the blade that belonged to him when he met his clan mates for the first time.

Ryu vs W/E Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ryu vs W/E   Ryu vs W/E Icon_minitimeFri 07 May 2010, 11:08 pm

This plan was much more elaborate than the last one Ryu had used. In the end it was just one big ploy to drive the shinobi back into the kunai he had thrown and explode it. Shredding his body with shrapnel, every other attack was just one big distraction. That didn't matter in the end though, cause the distraction didn't work in the least. There was no way to tell what abilities he had, until they were shown. Behind the cover of a smoke screen created by his attacks his opponent pulled out a sword. A shield was created, of a weird metal, that Ryu had never seen before. He had almost no knowledge of this, his body was rocketing towards, the spikes that would not come into view for him until it was nearly too late. To somebody who didn't have reflexes to Ryu's extent, it would be too late. To someone who didn't have the correct defensive jutsu's like Ryu it would be fatal. He was right when he chose to pad his arsenal with a wide range of techniques. Suddenly air around Ryu began to swirl and a small ball around him condensed. Just a split second before the spikes came within range. Faced with the new pressure, and sudden shield of air, the spikes collided with the makeshift defense. For only half a second, they struggled to break through, it wasn't hard, eventually their pierced the shield and continued to rocket out into the sky. Passing through a few jet steams of fire, heating them slightly, but not enough for any kind of reaction. Though all of this didn't matter much since Ryu was already gone, in those split seconds that the spikes were slowed. Ryu twisted both hands off to his right side, and shifted his body weight. He began to twist and turn, leaving jets of fire in the air as he turned. Just barely getting him out of the area of impact before the spikes broke through the dense air it had hit. Though even with this, it was no where near fast enough to escape any and all damage. The spikes clipping Ryu's arm, slicing through his arm and clipping his chest. Even so, even though these were minor injuries, Ryu still didn't feel them much. With that was going on, his adrenaline was pumping and he was quickly running through his options. As he hit the ground, he knew that there wasn't much he could do to break through the defense his opponent had with the type of jutsu he had without expending large amount of chakra. Taking his left arm, he wiped his hand along the slash on his arm, he had earned from the unknown metal. Suddenly he began to perform a series of hand signs. Ryu slammed his hands on the ground, before a large puff of smoke, appeared in front o him. When the smoke cleared, a dog with pure white fur and a dog with pure black fur appeared. Nearly polar opposites of each other in nearly every sense of the word. Karyuudo and Shugosha stood at the ready, before taking in their surroundings and taking notice of Ryu, who had yet to move from his previous stance. This fight was going on too long, he would need to use much more destructive jutsu. That meant expending more chakra than before, Ryu did no enjoy long drawn out battles, nor did he do particularly good in them. This game of "feeling" each other out, to run each other down, was never going to go anywhere. It was time that he stepped this up a notch, he had the chakra, not to mention certain jutsu's cost him less than others. The two dogs began to grown, before suddenly it looked like Karyuudo was forming water in his mouth. Suddenly, the dog jumped into the air and began to expel, water in a powerful condensed jet with the intention of cutting through the shield, that was erected. At the same time, Shugosha, charged and fired the same powerful lightning attack at the metal. The moment things picked up was now, Ryu was not messing around anymore. A series of hand signs and suddenly an invisible barrier, began to surge around the area. Telling Ryu of his opponents, movements and where he was, so long as he remained in the barrier. While the smoke from both explosions happened, Ryu pulled off two handsigns, sensing where the shinobi was he sent the hawk made of pure fire at his opponent. Sending it high into the air, then back down, in a spiraling motion, ending by coming off to the left.

Though Kidate's sight was blocked by the massive wall erected before him, his other senses were fully functional. The hissing sound of a compressed jet of water, similar to a gas leak but slightly different, the crackle of lightning, and finally the acidic smell of flames, all of these things were growing more and more powerful as they grew closed. Kidate had only one option, and so he would take it. The barrier of silver would melt into a pool, revealing a missing Kidate. He had sunk beneath the earth, utilizing a simple jutsu. The pool of liquid rested itself as Kidate travelled, and the streams of water and lightning met at a singular point. The two streams exploded with energy, most likely suffocating the flames of the hawk and destroying it. However, the explosion's true purpose wasn't this at all. The purpose was simple; it spread the liquid metal all throughout the field. Kidate would have done that himself, but he could only produce it on his body or blade, this method was a lot faster. Suddenly, just beneath Ryusaki, the massive blade of Hayaigin would erupt from the earth. From its blade a dragon's head appeared, its massive maw opening and extending to become several meters long and wide. When it grew close enough it would close in on itself, attempting to cleave him in half with fangs as sharp as razors. While this happened the silver that had been scattered would do its work. Each droplet would form with another, eventually creating a massive field of spikes covering the area, sharp as needles and strong as steel. Effectively it would make it impossible for anyone to land in the area, but it would take a serious toll on Kidate later.

Ryu vs W/E Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ryu vs W/E   Ryu vs W/E Icon_minitimeSun 09 May 2010, 6:57 pm

He was definitely facing someone that he had not learned enough about. Though with each jutsu he learned that his opponent had in his arsenal it became clear using the more quiet approach was not going to end this any time soon. He would have to actually begin using much more chakra, maybe he could begin using his trump card. But, not yet, there was a limit on it, he didn't want to use it prematurely then be caught worn out and used. That is exactly what anyone else would love to happen, he had to start acting smarter. Suddenly the line that connected his hand the hawk fell apart, and an explosion of heat and an unknown silver mineral showered the area. Luckily for him not a single bit landed on him, why this counted as being lucky would come soon enough. When the smoke cleared, there was no charred body like he expected there to be. There was no shield, just a small puddle of metal, and fresh dirt. This would normally be cause for worry, but Ryu had a small idea what had happened. Since he could not be sensed within the barrier, he had either gone underground, or high enough to escape damage. Either way, before the attack, that could be launched reached too close, Ryu would be warned and ready to react. Still he looked around, but it seemed like his dogs had found, out where he was already. Barking at the ground, sniffing in area's where the shinobi's scent could be picked up. Suddenly a sharp sound rang through Ryu's head, causing him to look down. The barrier had been bypassed, and a sword was beginning to poke above. Now both dogs were barking, and on instinct, to get away from the attack, Ryu began to jet up. Normally the backwash would go into the persons face, burning them and sometimes killing them. But not this time, the sword from Ryu's vantage, point that it had formed a dragon head. The teeth gleaming off the sun, showing their true intentions to slash something off in half. This raised a fear, as Ryu increased the thrust on his jets, to throw him higher into the air. Trying to get out of range of the attack before anything else. Though at the last second, more alarms in his head as spikes began to rise from the droplets of metal that had been spread by the explosion across the battlefield. Ryu changed course, using air, to push himself up, faster and higher. At that time he heard the sounds of screams of dogs, but ignored it. His summons that he coveted so much had been unable to avoid the spikes. They could have stayed, but at this point with their injuries they were pretty much worthless, so instead they both left. Knowing this well, Ryu had taken them out of his mind, he thought of a plan and was now putting it into action. While pushing himself up he pulled up his legs, putting himself almost in the fetal position, as the jaw snapped closed, trying to cleave him in half. Ryu then put his hands together and pointed an open palm at the closed sword, seen only by a shimmer, several tendrils, encased the head. Covering it, and at the same time, quickly moving down the blade and hilt towards the arm, of the holder, trying to hold him in place too. While this happened, Ryu increased the thrust on the jets, and created one in his fist, giving in enough of a boost to drag the sword up. The tendrils were adaptable, and quick, it would only take a split second to reach the arm and drag them up as well, should they decide to let go of their sword. If they did, Ryu would be able to hold it out of range, obviously showing to have been the largest threat at the moment. Throwing his free arm back, he began to charge a white flame in his arm. In one amazing punch a large explosive, blast full of searing heat was launched at his opponent. Causing a large explosion, heating the spikes, possibly destroying them and if everything went well, turning the person he was fighting to ash.

Kidate could feel his blade shift as an invisible force wrapped around it, but only too late. Soon he'd be dragged up above the earth, but not before he could find a countermeasure. As he flipped through a one-handed series of hand seals, a massive dome of wood was erected above him. The blade was caught in the wood, and held fast. Suddenly from his free hand a massive glob of red metal would appear. The glob formed into a hammer, the head depicting two skulls fused at the backs. The massive weight of the hammer pulled down on the invisible strings, severing them and allowing Kidate to fall back down into his hole. Suddenly a searing heat could be felt as it tore through the wooden barrier covering his hole. The flames would be stopped by a blast of wind release from Kidate's mouth, suppressing them and causing them to die out in the hole, or be forced back up. When the flames were finished, Kidate would move once again. A massive eruption of earth and dust was the result of him hitting the tunnel he was in with the weapon Warugi. A giant crater was formed, Kidate at the epicenter. All in the crater was the liquid pools of metal from the spikes that had been melted, and the dragon's head which had fallen apart. Several meters from him lay his Hayaigin. Staring up at his opponent he smiled and waved.

Name:Buki Keisei no Jutsu
Rank:A
Element: None
Description: Using this technique, Kidate will reform one of the Apocalyptic weapons he once used to be used in combat. The only weapon that retains its abilties from being formed by this technique is Warugi's hammer. It is still several tons in weight, though it feels weightless to Kidate.

Ryu vs W/E Empty

An explosion, rang through the area, searing and burning the metal, a sour smell, and flying debris went through the area. To anyone around, it would seem like Ryu's attack hit it's target. But Ryu knew better, especially with his barrier still active. In the last few seconds before he launched his attack, the weight that he was holding had more than tripled. The tendrils he had created snapped, causing the shinobi to fall back. In a moment a wooden shield had come over his opponent. Ryu's focused attack had broken through, but blown back by a wind, jutsu. Now he had as much info as he needed, and even as the backlash of his own flames headed towards him along with burning wood he was understanding that this was going anywhere. By the time the flames reached him, most of them had been defused, turned into tiny embers that did nothing more than tickle his face. The ones that weren't defused were too weak, to do any damage to the partially immune fighter. Once again another explosions ran through the area, this time in the aftermath, there was a large crater. Depressions in the ground, with the shinobi in the center, in the crater, there was a pool of metal, where he stood, creating a makeshift lake. Instead he looked at Ryu menacingly, and with defiance in his eyes. It became clear that none of Ryu's attacks were going to go anywhere. Both fire and wind were being defused, on a flip side, he ditched the sword. It was at such a distance though that Ryu didn't even bother thinking anything had to be done with it. Either way Ryu had to finish this fast, prolonged fights, were not his strong point. The jets below his feet, began to disappear. Ryu began to fall, aided towards a large plank of wood floating on the liquefied metal. Ryu stared back at his opponent with the same defiant look that was thrown at him earlier. Ryu raised his arm, and rolled up his sleeve, exposing the dragon, tattoo on his arm. Slowly it began to glow a flaming red, and spread across his body. Covering it, revealing his trump card, a curse mark used to increase, power and chakra levels. He only used this as a prelude to his most powerful jutsu's, and that is exactly what he was going to do. Ryu pointed two fingers into the air and it seemed like steam was being brought out of the metal, causing it to cool down and solidify, making it easier to keep a footing on the metal. Taking a firm grounding, Ryu created four handsigns, and a large rumbling could be heard. Chakra could be seen leaking out of Ryu and the ground before a large amount of chakra formed behind Ryu. It took the shape and form of branches, chakra branches, red, the new color of his chakra with his curse seal active. The branches spread across the battle field, aiming for the spikes all around with blinding speed. It wrapped around them, drawing out the chakra that held them together, making their integrity weaker. This metal worked either on a fixed chakra, or fed off chakra from him, either way, this jutsu would counter it. "This is probably my most powerful and original jutsu..." "Ninpou, Shinrabanshou" As Ryu said that, the jutsu became complete, taking it's final stage and extracting chakra from things around it at maximum speed. Ryu held out his hands, and set off the jets in his body raising him into the air, more powerful than ever thanks to his boost. As he reached a height, the branches of shinrabanshou, began to take power and charge towards, the shinobi. Going around his back, with razor sharp spines going around him. Aiming from above, and the sides, and even from in front, trying to impale him. Once it so much as scratched him, as long as it had contact with a chakra source other than Ryu it would eat that out. As Ryu came back down, he launched a powerful shot of white fire at the person, landing on a set of branches that moved to catch him. They would hunt him, whether it be underground, the surface, or the air, they would home in on food or chakra, trying to stab it, slash and impale it. Eat away at it's very being, this was Ryu most powerful jutsu, even his bloodline technique would stand almost no chance against it.

[[Even I know when I've lost.. xD]]

Kidate had been so confident that he could win just moments ago. He had achieved a letter rank that few other criminals in all history could claim, something that made even Akatsuki quiver with fear. However, it seemed that Kidate was getting a bit old; the next generation of shinobi were far better than his own. Kidate conceded his defeat with dignity, disappearing from his position as the branches collapsed inward, reaching his Hayaigin. The tip of the massive blade touched its empty sheath and suddenly formed back into a katana, falling into the sheath with a keening sound. As he looked up to his foe, he disappeared once more, this time appearing much closer to the man. In his hand was the other blade he had on him, his hand-and-a-half sword which he had used only twice before. The ability wasn't active, it was just a sword at the moment. He charged his opponent, attempting to run the man through as sharp branches pierced into him, draining his chakra. Despite the impaling and loss of strength, Kidate threw everything he had into his final attack, one aimed for his opponent's diaphragm.
