History//Legend of the Clan:Ishanerei Clan has it's roots seemingly in the third Daughter of the Sage of Six Paths and it's legend is that she founded the Clan before the Ninja Villages came to be. It's alliance with Iwagakure is an old and strong one, as it resides in the Land of Earth as well. Where precisely in the country it is located is a very closely guarded secret. To the point that only the Tsuchikage and the Clan Elder could point it out on a map and only the most elite of the Ishanerei even know the way to it.
The clan is highly secretive of it's nature and location, even it's Kekkai Genkai is highly hidden from prying eyes and questioning shinobi. They value their loyaly to the Iwagakure second only to their secrets.
Kekkei Genkai//Bloodline of the Clan:Doton - Earth Specialty: Considered by and far one of the foremost clans in the use of Doton, almost every Ishanerei member is of the Earth affinity by birth. Their close attunement with the element in terms of nature as well as the purity of their bloodline lends itself to this.
Clan Special Doton Techniques- Spoiler:
Name: Kanseiana no Jutsu
Rank: A
Element: Earth
Clan: Ishanerei
Description: A complicated technique that the user first has to prepare for with a long series of hand seals. Standing in the center of an area and then performing the seals, they begin to flow their chakra into the earth and then focus all of the molded chakra into their hand, they release it into the ground below them by slamming their palm into the ground.
The chakra releases in waves, forcing the earth to bend and move beneath them in reaction to enemy movements. Spikes, walls and even pitfall holes will begin 'following' the enemy, attempting to block their path and skewer them or force them into traps. The ground also lowers and raises in areas, turning the battlefield into a literal deathtrap. The technique lasts for up to three posts, but after those three the built up chakra is expended completely. The battlefield remains as it was, but is no longer 'active'.
Koton Affinity: Koton, or Steel Release, is widely regarded as the pinnacle of Earth Element power, allowing one to condense the minerals in Earth into metal and control it. While every shinobi can learn to use Koton, only The Ishanerei Clan holds some of the key knowledges needed to train it effectrively. Reserved for those in it's clan of Jounin or above rank, these secrets are handed down to it's members and protected highly.
Kiretsugan: The Crushing Gaze is the ultimate result of the Ishanerei Bloodline. It's ability, like all Dojutsu, allows the user to compress and focus chakra in their field of vision in various ways. It's realm of control is the manipulation of Nature and the Earth. It also allows limited offensive 'chakra projection' attacks based on the eye's ability.
An Ishanerei with the Kiretsugan can manipulate anything born of, created from or grown from the Earth with their chakra. This allows them to manipulate things like trees, stone, wood, iron and even mountains on varyingly large scale, depending on their chakra use. Humans, animals and even bugs however are exempt from this manipulation, as they are not 'from' the Earth.
Even more importantly however, the Kiretsugan cannot manipulate Jutsus. Chakra infused into even Doton techniques will completely negate the Dojutsu's ability to influence it.
Kiretsugan Jutsu- Spoiler:
Name: Iseimyaku
Rank: C
Element: Dojutsu
Clan: Ishanerei
Description: One of the first initial uses of the Kiretsugan is the ability to see the natural stress of the Earth. The planet is a living thing and much like people, it exhibits it's stress and injury in various ways. Iseimyaku allows the user to see this stress like a chakra aura. Recent battles in which chakra was used, a recent death or even the marking of a tree to guide the way, anything that 'disturbs' nature can be seen and translated with this technique.
Name: Jinengi
Rank: C-A
Element: Dojutsu
Clan: Ishanerei
Description: A slightly more combat oriented use of the Kiretsugan, the user must close one of their eyes and activate the open one. Their eye appears to 'crack' open and at the same time, chakra releases and transfers this 'crack' onto anything the user is looking at. If it happens to be made from anything natural (including metals from kunai or fabric from clothing, even things like walls or doors), it will 'crack' it similarly and damage it. The higher the rank of the item, the more chakra is needed to crack it.
Name: Gietai
Rank: C-A
Element: Dojutsu
Clan: Ishanerei
Description: Gietei is a chakra reading technique that allows the user to read the chakra of natural objects. Activating the Kiretsugan and then by reading the chakra imprint and the history of the object, one can determine the path and actions of the owner and the object itself, depending on the rank of the item itself.
Name: Hakokudo
Rank: B
Element: Dojutsu
Clan: Ishanerei
Description: The realm of Hakokudo is when one becomes able to manipulate the laws of nature to a fine extent. Activating the eye and forming a simple hand-seal, the tiger, one is capable of selectively and temporarily 'removing' natural objects from reality. Essentially temporarily sending them into a different dimension. For a post, affected objects will cease to exist and then after the post, they will re-appear in the same condition as they began. Note this cannot affect humans, animals or anything besides natural made objects or materials.
Name: Munezou
Rank: A
Element: Dojutsu
Clan: Ishanerei
Description: The imposition of one's will on nature is one of the greatest and more taxing feats of the Kiretsugan. Focusing their gaze on an object, the user can activate the Kiretsugan and temporarily infuse their personal chakra into nature. This allows them to manipulate nature in far more detailed and fine ways then simply using a Jutsu to do so. Making plants come alive and attack, growing or moving walls, buildings, even making someone's clothing tighten around them, kunais grow dull...As long as it is nature-made, they can control it's parameters. However, once this technique is released, the object loses these additional parameters and returns to normal.
Name: Oinari
Rank: A
Element: Dojutsu
Clan: Ishanerei
Description: Also known as the 'Eyes Of The Nature God', this technique is considered one of the most difficult to master without damage to one's eye. In essence, this allows the user to 'ignore' Nature. In their gaze, once activated, nature ceases affecting them. The user can use this in multiple ways. Fading directly into the earth without a step or a jutsu, walking into a lake and moving as freely as if one was flying or even walking through stone or metal walls. The longer this technique is active however, the more damaging it is to the user's sight.
Name: Amida
Rank: S
Element: Dojutsu
Clan: Ishanerei
Description: The ultimate level of Kiretsugan, aptly named after a God of Death. The ultimate and most perverse use of the clan's blood: The decay of nature. By activating their gaze, the user literally corrupts nature to the point of destruction and decay. When nature breaks down like this, it releases a mist of purple chakra from anything that is destroyed, which acts like a mild poison that spreads onto other objects. The decay only affects nature-made objects but the poison can affect anything, making it a strong offensive technique.
The eyes are heavily taxed by this use however and the user cannot use it for longer then one post without severe damage, they also must rest their eyes afterwards.
Clan Information:-
Clan Training :: Before an Ishanerei is of Academy Age, they are trained very limitedly in the art of botany and herbs, learning to garden and grow plants even as children. They are also taught the very fundamentals of Shinobi skill, to keep them fit and ready for their eventual moving on in the world. From this training, many of the children also learn a fondness for medicine and caregiving. It's not unusual for an Ishanerei to forgo the life of a full-fledged Shinobi and instead choose Hospital service or the tasks of a Medic-nin.
When they come of age for the Academy, the latest group of children are gathered for a small ceremony in the Clan Compound. They are each given a green black wristband with the symbol of the Ishanerei Clan on it and then presented one parting gift from their parents. And then they are all placed under a Genjutsu that tricks the eyes and mind and escorted by a group of the Clan's Shinobi to Iwagakure. They are enrolled into the Academy and housed in several small orphanage-like homes throughout Iwagakure, tended to by the elder Ishanerei Shinobi in the village.
Once they graduate and become full fledged Shinobi, their lives become about Iwagakure alone. They are each given their own personal residence that are maintained by the Clan itself and they are responsible for everything else, including clothing and feeding themselves. Every Ishanerei child lives and dies on his skills as a Shinobi. Their caretaking Elders tutor them individually or in groups from time to time but mostly their connection with the Clan is put on whole for the sake of their village.
Once they become Chuunin, they are returned to the village for one month of harsh training in Doton and Kiretsugan, usually returning from the Clan Compound both exhausted and far more skilled in the Clan's realms then before.
On the day of an Ishanerei's graduation to Jounin Rank, the Ishanerei Elder personally visits them in their home and presents them with a small scroll, the clan's secrets to Koton. The first person to open the scroll sees a single seal inside and the seal implants itself into their eyes, allowing them to read the scroll. Only the person with the seal can ever read their indivdual scroll. From this, they learn the clan's secrets of Koton and even more advanced techniques for Kiretsugan.
-
Population :: While at roughly C-rank population, only half of their members are Shinobi for Iwagakure. Those who remain behind are taught exhaustively in the art of Doton, Koton and Kiretsugan, the most grueling fundamentals of Shinobi training by the clan. They usually come from those who fail to advance past Chuunin by the age of roughly 30, returning to the clan to serve as tutors, guides for the children of the clan and protectors of it's compound.
Little distinguishes them from other clans save the darkness of their eyes. Even the whites are dull gray compared to others and they constantly have a look of sleepiness or lack of interested because of it.
-
Nature//Values :: Secrecy is instilled into every child of the clan. Protect the clan's secrets, protect the Village's secrets and protect your own Secrets. They rarely reveal anything personal of themselves and because of the nature of their upbringing, very few even know much about their past or the clan's history.
Outside of this, they tend to be calm, almost laid back people in demeanor. A close attunement with the solid, sturdy powers of Earth give them all an essential doctrene of 'Speak softly and let your actions do the real talking'. They are also a very militaristic clan, preferring to handle things as a unified front and they stand behind Iwagakure completely.
Their Relations with Iwa-nin and Iwagakure are all excellent, as the village keeps them well shielded and protected from trespass in return for their knowledge and Shinobis.
Additional Information [Optional]:-
Clan Founder :: Otome of the Sage of Six Paths [Allegedly]
-
Relationship ::
-
Clan Political Structure :: A single Suujishi is appointed from a Shinobi of Jounin Rank when the previous Suujishi or feels he is close to his end in any way. The Clan's most important documents, techniques and history are passed to this new Suujishi before the previous one expires or goes to meet his end in any form. It is a lifetime appointment, taking them off of active Shinobi duty as well.
The Ishanerei Compound's structure is much like a common village. Walled, isolated and well guarded, the elders and retired shinobi of the clan rest and life there peacefully with nature. The Elder is the final authority in all disputes of the clan and it's military leader as well.
Inside Iwagakure, the structure is somewhat lax, but still a Shinobi enviroment. The eldest Jounin (Or eldest of the highest ranked Ishanerei currently in Active Duty) is in charge, who serves as the medium between the Tsuchikage and the Suujishi. He or she overseers the clan's three small branch compounds for the young academy students and assigns them Chuunin-rank training instructors or aids. When they reach Genin rank, he or she is responsible for finding them homes and then his or hers contact with them ends until they become Jounin rank, as he or she is usually escorting the Suujishi to their home to present them with their scroll.
