Tarnish entered the city gates, a cool expression on his face. He had been summoned back so suddenly, he was worried about what it could have been about. Talon was perched on his shoulder, as usual. He nipped at Tarnish's ear, who jerked away. "Not today," he said in a low voice. Immediatly, Talon grasped the severity of the situation, and he quickly sombered up. He turned and headed toward the Hokage building, pondering what the occurence could be that would cause the Hokage to call him. His mind shifted to thoughts of another dangerous mission, and he couldn't help but sigh. Two diplomacy missions one right after the other. What next?
As he approached the Hokagee building, he remembered that he was to wait for a signal of some sort. Frowning, he hopped onto a nearby trash can, onto the top of a fence, to the top of a roof of a nearby building. He stood tall, looking as far as he could. With a jerk of his head, he sent Talon into the air, where he looked about for the Hokage. A few minutes later, Talon squawked, and swooped down to Tarnish, who waited impatiently for his report. He squawked earnestly, and Tarnish gathered that the Hokage had been seen making for the center of the village. He began to head in the same direction, hopping from rooftop to rooftop. "This outta be good," he muttered to himself
