Kakashi stated that Sakura is a genjutsu type.
So I wonder, when will Sakura learn genjutsu techniques? Who would she use them at?

If you are referring to the 4th shipuuden episode I wondered that too. But I watched it again and I found a different answer. I'm pretty sure he actually said "I thought you would be a genjutsu type" Aparently he was wrong since she became a medical ninja.

I believe that she IS a genjutsu type. She simply prefers to use her brute strength. With her natural intelligence and expert chakra control, she would make a genjutsu master that could almost surpass Kurenai. However, I don't think she actually delves into genjutsu.
