A disappoint ment to Kitaro

it was a bright day outside. not many clouds outside, but there was a large wind blowing outside. inside, there was a knock at the raikage's door.

Kitaro was aware of the knock but very very tired. He walked over to the door rubbing his eyes and grumbling to himself. He didnt expect any missions this early in the morning from eager jounin and chunin and no squads were off duty to come or expected to report back this morning. He was off work but yet... Kitaro opened the door and fingered the mace at his side in case of a surprise attack.

As kitaro opened the door, there was a slight breeze that wafted in from the hall, there was noone standing in the doorway. a moment later, Zodiark spoke up, he was sitting on kitaro's desk "hello kitaro, how long has it been since we last sat and talked"

Kitaro spun around not suprised of "zodiarks" tricks he had been pulling these for a very long time and it was obvious that one day he would return to the cloud village. Kitaro sat down at his desk on the other side of Kisho now fully awake and spoke. "well we briefly spoke at the invasion but the last time we actually did talk was when you left my village Kisho Kimura."

"ah, now that is a name that people have stopped using for quite some time now" he turned around and sat in the chair on the other side of kitaro's desk "i'm sure you are wondering why i'm here, and that is to tell you, that i'm taking away your chance of ever killing me, or anyone else killing me for that matter"

Kitaro yawned he was still tired. He pulled out his sword and stood up straight. "Kisho your not gonna take your own life are you cause i may just have to kill you before you can do this."

"no no no, why do you think i would kill myself." zodiark chuckled as he walked over to the window and looked out over the city. "i'm simply going to fade into legend and become the being that reminds those that death is an inevitability. i'm going to become something that not even time can stop"

kamoku was on the roof, listening to the conversation. no chikage ever met the former chikage before, at least not in this world. he was torn between the former chikage that his brother-in-law served dutifully and the present chikage of where there was a certain risk of killing him before the former does.

Kitaro nodded and spoke softly and silently. "if your sure you dont want the honor of dying in battle surrounded by enemies of all strengths going down in a blaze or dying in a duel against a powerful opponet with strength beyond those of imagination then i will not try and stop you."

"you don't seem to get it do you, i'm not going to die at all." zodiark slide ope the window to let in a nice cool breeze "I"m going to become something that can never be stopped or killed, something that is a step higher than even you yourself"

Kitaro knew he wasnt going to die but was unsure about this next step he was taking. "are you going to be a spirit or something tell me what it is you will become then if you came to tell me."

"ah, i never came here to tell you what i will become" zodiark leaned against the windowsill "i only came here to let you know you can stop worrying about the threat of me coming back" turning his head to look out the window, a large wind picked up, pulling zodiark's coat out the window. flicking his wrist, zodiark threw a kunai with a note attached to the end, distracting kitaro for a split second, long enough for zodiark to disappear without a sound.

the note attached to the kunai had only one line written on it "A hero gets remember, but a legend never dies. You my friend, are the hero of this story"

Kitaro took left the note on the door. He looked at all the things on his wall remembering what he had done. He then added a small line to the end of the note. heros create the legends. Kitaro then sat back down and fell asleep ignoring the deepness of this meeting

kamoku saw the letter and disapeard. retracking zodiarks steps.
