uptaking a new potential

kamoku sat at his desk and filled out the paprwork for the examination of a mans liver failure while he typed up a brain surgery document that was due in 3 hours. his office was normal sized with a steralized ferret cage under his desk, a laptop and an oak desk that was piled with grailed paper since he wasnt able to read ink. he set down the pen and pushed away from the computer to rest for a few moments. he sometimes loathed that he was the only medical ninja that was capeable to do surery and perscribe medcine.

Rayne gently knocks on the door of Kamoku's office. "Hello?" He calls softly.

kamoku sits up and yanws. " come in."

Rayne enters th small office. "Erm, hello. I am Rayne, and I was wondering if you needed any help with your medical work" Rayne askes awkwardly.

kamokus face brightend up like a light bulb. " why yes, do you have any experience in basic medical material? or in surgery?"

"Erm, medical mostly, not too keen on surgery." Rayne replies looking out of place.

kamoku nodded. many ninjas specialized in killing a person, no healing. even when medical ninjas do know a bt about the body it was only to heal them momentarily until the ninja would be brought to him. "well, i do need an assistant for brain surgery. my other assistant mike broke his nose when i tossed a report through a wall." kamoku laughed nervously. he was really sorry he did that to mike.

Rayne blinks in surprise. "You threw a report through the wall?" He asks.

" uh....yeah. i kinda happens often. though the board is okay." kamoku laughed, holding up a clipboard that was coverdin blood. " anyway, i have to fill in this document and we'll start removing tumors out in no time." kamoku sat back down and began filling a stack of paperwork out.

Rayne nods politely and takes a seat.

after a few seconds of quiet kamoku rose from his chair with the paperwork. "okay, now sighn at the bottom since your going to be my assistant." he said happily.

"Okay." Rayne replies and signs the paper

kamoku sighed. "good, ill work on the mans liver failure after the brain surgery." kamoku handed rayne a surgical outfit complete with mask and gloves. " put this on." he said as he slipped on an almost identical outfit.

Rayne nods again, and donns the medical uniform. "Is this good" He askes curiously.

" yes, it is. good, now we have to have a pitstop on the way to the OR." kamoku walked quickly out of his office, beckoning rayne to follow. " have you ever seen a surgery before rayne?" kamoku asked.

"No, but I can't imagine worse than a battle field after the battle..." Rayne replies and follows Kamoku.

kamoku smiled. " oh, you sure about that? " he asked as a nurse gave him the report. he looked down at the note she gave him for an overveiw. " before the tumor this man was a border gaurd, it seems he had a run-in with kush before he became a joinin. thats what led to discover the tumor." kamoku laughed. " one after the other...." he walked into the OR (operation room) and there were 6 other people. " well guys, theres going to be a change of things. since mikes out for a few weeks ive brough a friend to help us." every one nodded at rayne and began to prop up the X rays, biopsys, cat scans and tox-screens up on the light board.

Rayne nods politely to everybody and continues to follow Kamoku.

"okay, rayne can you please get the plasthemia and needle case in that drawer over there, kathy please temp the light, jordan set the IV, ichi please get our patient in here S.T.A.T. or we might as well pack up. oh- and seth and judy, please steralize the bed and hand me my untensils." he orderd every one while getting the electromonitor for the mans brain and the towels, and some games of some sorts.

Rayne heads over to the drawer quickly and gets the needle and the plasthemia, and heads back to Kamoku. Rayne gently gives the supplies to Kamoku.

"thankyou rayne." everybody else did what they were suposed to do and kamoku set the towels and games on the counter while the paitent was being seated. " well sir, you do know that you have to be consouse during the surgery? i assure you wont feel a thing." the paitent and him talked a bit and kamoku handed the man a game.
he then orderd one of the assistants to put the mans head in a vice while he pulled out a power tool.

Rayne watches intenly, learning and also awaiting any further tasks for him to do.

"okay, the rest of you please take out your notepads and note of whats going on." kamoku handed rayne a notepad. "you too rayne." kamoku then started to take put a bottle of yellow liquid. "this is plasthemia. its a type of nuro-potent that ensures the activity of the brain but stops all pain nerves. its like a painkiller for your brain." he said simply as he put the liquid in a needle and injected it in the back of the mand neck. " i am now injecting it into where the spinal fuid flows. it will take effect in fourty-five seconds. you okay sir?" he asked the patient. " the reason why i am having conversations with him is because his brain has to stay active enough for us able to find the tumor and not cut any cords that he might need for the rest of his life."

Rayne takes the pad and the pen and takes good, clean accurate notes.

kamoku nodded. kamoku then drilled the top of the mans hea with the drill. it made a sickening squelching sound. " scalpel." kamoku said. and one of the assistants handed him a spadelike knife. he began to cout around the mans head as if it was a melon. " sponge please" one of the other assistants began staunching around the patients head to remove the blood.
