Training [P]

Takeo walked into a arena deep in the forest. It was a cool night and there was a slight breeze. The arena was just a cleared out piece of the forest shaped like a circle. The trees surrounding were thick so you couldnt see past the outer edge of the arena.

Karei strode confidently into the clearing within a deep forest just outside of the borders of the stone village. He truly did love the beauty of the trees and the wildlife that lived amongst them, but he firmly reminded himself that now was not the time for admiration of nature. Ignoring the trees, he cast his gaze over a young genin boy that stood in the clearing. Karei was wearing a pinstriped black shirt that had a row of buttons down the middle, most likely a dress shirt though most of it was obscured by the long black trench coat he wore over it. Around his neck was a tie with a black and violet striped pattern. The collar on his trench coat was propped up, covering most of the sides of his face and the back of his head. His unkempt white hair was mostly hidden within a pinstriped fedora that he wore, obscuring the rest of his face. His fists were shoved into the pockets of his trench coat, seeming to be fiddling with something. Karei took one step after another, the moonlight that was cast into the area illuminating his black-leather combat boots and matching black dress pants.

With a vicious smile that no one could see, Karei stopped and nodded to the genin boy. "I am sorry to ask you out here at such an inconvenient hour. The night seems to be the only time I get peace and quiet." He said in a tone that was not apologetic in the least bit. It was mellow, calm, and almost monotonous without being dull. One slender, pale, bony, hand reached up with the back facing the genin. His index and middle fingers wrapped around the brim of his hat, pulling it down and removing it from his head. As he did this he moved his other arm in front of his waist, casting the arm holding the hat out to his side as he bent at the waist slightly. "Karei, your Tsuchikage and leader. May I ask your name?"

Takeo laid his gaze upon Karei, his Tsuchikage and leader. He scanned every part of his leader. Looking at his clothes and hair. His Tsuchikage was in front of him. Was he staring? Takeo didnt feel his eyes. He was in some sort of trance. Realizing he had not yet answered he said, " My name is Takeshi Hisashi.I prefere to be called Takeo." His voice sounded different to him, foriegn. He was nervous. Takeo thought anything he may say would be wrong.... " I dont mind the night. It is peaceful and tranquil. Lets me think." His voice still had that odd tone to it.
" It was of no inconvience."

"Good, good. Now, show me your skills." Karei commanded as he placed his hat upon the branch of a nearby tree, using it like a hat rack. He removed his trench coat, resting it upon the same branch; causing the branch to bend slightly under the weight that the trench coat must have possessed. Reaching into the pocket of his trench coat, he removed two heavy metal blocks. As soon as they left the pocket the branch went up a few inches because of the weight that was removed. Turning to the boy, he threw the metal blocks down in front of him. Unbuttoning the cuffs, he rolled up his sleeves and smiled. "How is your hand-eye-coordination?' He asked in a menacingly mysterious manner.

"G-good. I suppose." Takeo looked down at the metal blocks. Crazy thoughts of what they could be used for ran through his head. "What are they for, sir?" asked Takeo, as he withdrew his hands fro is pockets. He then leaned forward to get a better view of the metal blocks. He shivered both from the crazy thoughts and the the cool breeze.

"Easy, we are going to play catch." Karei said cheerfully as he kicked one metal bar into the air with the toe of his right boot. It spun gracefully, shining in the moonlight. Catching the metal bar easily, he smiled and tossed it to the boy. Each metal bar was significantly heavier than they looked, weighing in at about fifty or so pounds a piece. The metal was dense, nothing but pure ore went into the making of them. As a result they were a bit softer than most metals, and obviously not used for combat. "Don't hold onto a bar for more than five seconds." He said as he kicked the next one up. Catching it he quickly tossed it to the genin.

Do to his sudden suprise Takeo barely caught the first metal block. The sudden weight was harsh on his arm. He thought he moved back an inch, he couldnt be sure. The cold metal tingled his skin, amking him twitch. He threw it back to his master just in time. The second block he was ready for. He caught it, the fimilar cold ran through his fingers. The metal was unique, it felt... odd. How long had it been, he thought. He quickly tossed it to his Tsuchakage.

Karei smiled and caught the metal block, throwing it at a nearby tree. His arm snapped forward, his fingers releasing the slender bar of metal, and still pointing toward his target. It struck the tree, sticking into it and staying there after vibrating for four or five second, giving off a slight humming sound. Karei's hand moved up to catch the second bar, throwing it up and out in one fluid motion. Flipping forward, he snapped out his right leg and hit the metal bar with the heel of his foot, sending it flying toward a tree behind Takeshi. It went well above his head, embedding into the trunk of the tree even further than the first. "You are a shinobi, move like one. If you can't handle the weight of the attack dodge it, if you can't dodge it block it and sacrifice your least necessary body part to save the most necessary. We ninja worship the arts of stealth and deceit, remember that." He said as he landed softly on the ground.

"Y-yes, sir." said Takeo awkwardly. "Is there some other way I can prove my agility?"

"Yeah, dodge." Karei said cheerfully as he reached into his coat pocket. He removed eight similar bars and smiled sadistically, throwing the first bar directly at the boy's chest. He was not messing around, it was time they got serious. Lets see how this boy fairs. He thought to himself as he tossed another bar at his knees, with more force than the other so that it would be the first to impact. "Lets see how you do." He said as he prepared to throw the others.

Takeo had a stern look on his face. He was ready. He quickly side-stepped to his left and turned facing the blocks. The block meant for his knees hit the ground and flattened. The one meant for his chest hit a nearby tree making the now familiar ringing noise. He then turned to look at his leader again.

Karei seemed to brighten up even further, if that were possible, at the sight of the boy dancing around the metal bars. He launched the rest directly at the boy, four of them veering off toward other sides of him. Two went above him, the other two going on either side of his body. Reaching into his pocket, Karei launched a kunai directly at the boy's stomach as well. "Dodge, boy."

Takeo ducked with great speed.Holding himself up with his arm on the ground. In the end he was basically lying on the ground. The two bars meant for his head hit the same tree, flattening. The block on the left was lost in the forest somewhere. The block on the right hit a tree close by. The kunai, meant to impale him, was stuck in a tree immediatly behind him. Takeo stood back up. He looked directly at his Tsuchakage, expecting more instruction.

"I just attacked you, why would you not retaliate?" Karei asked as he removed a scroll from his back pocket, opening it up he activated a hand seal. Suddenly, two tanto blades fell forward and stuck themselves into the ground handle up. He reached down and picked them up by their excellently carved bamboo handles. Throwing them to the boy, he rose his left hand up to him. Suddenly, a wad of clay flew up about an inch above his palm and landed softly. Clenching his fist, he formed the wad into a small rod of clay. Activating a hand seal he caused it to grow until it was as tall as he was.

Taking up a defensive stance, he motioned for the boy to attack. "Lets go, chop chop." He said with a chuckle as he spun the staff around his body like a baton. It was obvious that he was no novice with a weapon, but he also showed that he had no idea how to properly use the weapon. He smiled and waited for the boy to attack.
