Battle of Kunochi

A rarity, a day off for an ANBU that would seem to never come as the day seemed to bring forth a smile of sorts. The sun was shining, the wind had a hint of go to it and the overall feel was nothing short of nice. This was a day that saw a Nimakee come forth to an open area to do a minor 2 hour training session and relax for the first time in a good while. She carried her anbu mask along with her but did not wear it as she normally would, instead only wearing it with mask backwards around her neck. She took out a few Kunai and began to toss them one by one and accurately lacing them perpendicular to one another. After tossing around 10 kunai walked over to collect them when she felt the presence of another near her. Oriena worried not though, for this was not a place for natural encounters with enemies and even if there was a problem, she could handle her own. After re-pocketing the kunai, Oriena extended her left arm with her hand making a horizontal yet open fist that soon filled with glass that slowly formed into a stone solid staff. Spinning the newly formed weapon, she spoke softly, "If you are here for me, I'd find it more respectful to to approach me face to face".

A female, who was still new to these areas was quietly walking through a peaceful section of the Mist Country. It was hard to see for her, due to the fog and mist around, but she knew she must have been approaching some type of society, due to the thick fog and mist getting lighter as she walked. Wearing her regular light plated armor, with a light white skirt like piece made of cloth around her waist. Her armor matched well, and was unique for it's design. She wore a sword on her back, crossed at the right side, and had a unique design to match her armor as well.(See full appearance in Signature to see). Across her forehead was a strangely designed headband, which held no type of village symbol, and instead was her clans symbol. And lastly, her sharp red eyes which resembled the flow of Lava pierced through the fog and mist. As she walked towar5ds what she thought might have been a village or something similar, she felt the presence of another ninja near, and before she even had time to try to figure out if it was an enemy or not, it spoke. Not clearly hearing what the other person had said, the female began walking towards the noise voice, and eventually came face to face with another female, which was most likely from the Mist Village.

Looking at the newest addition to the area, Oriena took note of the appearance of the woman, not recognizing any of the woman's wardrobe to be of any group or village. "Pardon the lack of knowledge of you, but you don't seem to be from around here...though it doesn't seem that you're necessarily from any specific area judging from your attire. Who are you?" said Oriena as she caught the staff from its spin, slamming it into the ground. The fact that there was no village head band put question into the ANBU's mind as to if this woman was a rouge ninja or just a Kunochi that stood to recognize her clans wardrobe as opposed to the natural one of the village. Through all this, Oriena was curious as to the reasoning behind her coming into the area, or the village for that matter. Perhaps she was there to see the Mizukage on business, though that seemed unlikely because of the fact that she was both kin to the bloodline of the Mizukage and higher up of the ANBU, therefore she would have intelligence on the visit. Perhaps the woman had just came across here to pass through, and if that was the case, she would allow her passage to get through to avoid conflict...thinking smart was a Nimakee way. "Do you have business here?"

As the female came to a stop when she met eye to eye with the other Kunoichi, she stared at her for a moment noticing she must be apart of the ANBU squad of the mist, considering she caries around a mask with her. When the other ninja began questioning her, the armored women replied with only one sentence. "My name is Sora, and i am only looking around...". After speaking, Sora began walking towards the Kunoichi, and then past her continuing her walk from before. Each step made a very quiet clanking sound, caused by the sword on her back hitting her armor lightly. If the other Kunoichi tried to attack, or do anything suspicious, Sora was ready for it, paying great attention to what was going on around her.

"These grounds are not permitted to just look over, that would be reason to enough for any other of my force to escort you usually. I however, will allow you to leave peacefully, or escort you to the touring part of the area, this is not that part" said Oriena with a louder but still low tone of speaking. She once more, picked up the staff and spoke, as she used her right hand to pull a scroll from her side, "The choice is simple and up to by all measures, we can stay peaceful as we are now, or this can change in a hurry...the choice is up to you". Relaxing the staff onto her shoulder, the female Nimakee would turn as the 'Visiting' ninja would go, eying her every move, observing the slightest of movements of her hands as well as feet. The weapons on the fellow kunoichi seemed to be an indication that this one could be of problem should the two begin to tangle, therefore the ANBU prepped herself for the worst.

As Sora kept walking, she heard the Kunoichi begin talking once more. This time telling her to leave, or go to a different area. As she kept walking, she rose her hand so it could be seen over her shoulder, and jerked it to the side a little, in a goodbye motion. "I'm perfectly capable of handling myself, but thanks anyways" Sora said and continued walking away. Under the small clanking of her sword hitting the armor lightly, she heard what sounded like a smooth sound of a scroll unrolling. Sora crossed her arms as she walked, and secretly grabbed into a small dagger hidden in the side of her armor. The dagger was thin and long, but very fast.

Too good to be true, this was no longer a day off as the defiant woman chose a path of ignorance in opposition of simply respecting the law of the village. Calmly, Oriena slung open her scroll as a mass of chunks of broken sword pieces flung into the air and cover a wide area surrounding the two. The pieces came down at random speeds and a variety of different angles as well, which could very well place a strong uncertainty amongst the visitor turned possible advasary. Some parts fell flat to the ground as others shot down sharply, but all dangerous it would seem when it came to how things transpired. Turning her mask to the face front, the ANBU watched as the a few pieces came dangerously close to the opposite woman and some even came directly at her. The pieces that didn't hit the armor wearing woman would hit the ground, then sink into it, not to be SEEN again. "I offer one last chance for you to obey my words and leave the area, or allow me to to escort you to town. If it is by force, you will be meeting a cell mate traveler, this is your final chance and last warning".

Name: Hidden Scroll: Mine Field

Description: Oriena has a scroll of about 2ft long and a yard in circumfrence around her back. This holds a great deal of sealed broken swords that are equipped with full explosive tags. Upon activating the scroll, the broken parts of the swords will launch across the field of battle and through Oriena's earth affinitied chakra, will land safely without exploding. The parts will sink into the ground, out of eye sight except to dou users and chakra sensors but seen by Oriena through the opened scroll. Through this, she may detonate the pieces as she wishes or, if she chooses, can detonate them all with one two handed seal. Oriena holds 4 of these scrolls during battle.

Noticing the blades above her falling, and the "last chance" given to her from the other Kunoichi, she quickly grabbed her sword off her back and held it in the air, holding it at the center of the back of the blade. Before the pieces of sharp metal got to close, she spun her sword 3 times, which made the pieces of metal hit the flat of the blade lightly, and move from above her, falling and sinking to the ground. As one fell in front of her face, she noticed what appeared to be an explosive tag wrapped around the object, which then sunk into the ground with it. Thinking to herself, Sora knew she was standing now, in a field of mines. Though these kind of fields are just her specialty. Looking back from the corner of her eye at the ANBU woman, Sora knelled down quickly, leaving her feel in the same spot, then jumped high up into the air. While in the air, she quickly did some hand seals, and looked at the spot she had jumped up from. A large lava geyser suddenly arose, but before it had enough time to get to high, it connected with an explosion tag, and set it off under ground, which caused a domino effect on every other explosion tag in the ground, all around the ANBU women as well. Not only were the explosions everywhere, but the lava from the geyser had been exploded sending globs of lava into every direction, including towards the ANBU woman. Though sora was above all the explosions, she still felt the heat from them, as well as a few globs of lava hitting her, though it had no effect on her due to her clan traits. Before she came to a complete stop in the air, Sora did more hand seals, then took in a deep breath, and shot a sheet of Lava out from her mouth which fell like a large sheet broad sheet above the direct center of the ANBU women, as well as a large area of the field.

Name: Melting Apparition Technique

Description: Sora releases a large amount of lava from her mouth. In the air this lava spreads into a broad, thin sheet. Since the lava is shot upwards in an arch and falls onto the target, it prevents the target from jumping up to avoid the attack. A great deal of steam is created afterwords by the lava, so should the target still be alive, a follow-up attack can be done while their vision is obscured.

With the premature detonation of the explosive tags, Oriena decided to retreat a bit and immediately began fast paced back flips to avoid the blast. Though she managed to avoid most of the explosions, there were some that were close enough to entice a loud ringing noise in her ears from them. Enduring the sound and focusing on her regrouping effort, she hadn't noticed the attacks by her counter part until she smelled a bit searing that came from her right pant leg. At that point, she had set her a decent distance apart from the opposition. "Lava?" Oriena thought aloud as she tried to gain a grasp of this woman's ability and strategize around it. She could only think of minor images of the attacks due to the flipping distorting her view, but it would appear that the attacks came in a high low manner. Oriena was sure she saw the woman take to the sky so she must've attacked then as well as when creating that lava gysier. Fire was an obvious affinity and that virtually assumed that it'd be a struggle of will should she try to counter with fire on her behalf. Along with that, it wouldn't be any normal battle within ninja using the same affinity, it'd be similar to using water on vs ice. She had an advantage at the moment though when it came to knowledge of what the opponent is capable of as far as the ones elements. The only thing that was shown on Oriena's behalf was that she had a knowledge of scroll usage, possibly that she was a patient person but that was about it. That in mind, she would proceed with showing as little as possible before placing a counter attack of higher aptitude. From the looks of it, the fire didn't have much of an affect on the armor wearing ninja, so she would have to work with that disadvantage to create offense, in other words, she would have to disguise purpose of choice of attack. Pulling out another scroll, the ANBU flung it open quickly before doing an aerial (or side flip) towards a nearby tree. From the scroll shot a mass of kunai and aimed directly at all angles of unknown kunoichi, or so it seemed. Being in the training area would be the x factor of this attack, as she was actually aiming towards targets around the woman. Being in the mist would help out also as it concealed the metal wires as a smile came to Oriena's face. As the metal weapons of destruction came to within three feet, like a puppet master, the ANBU manipulated the wires, redirecting the kunai to branch off to five separate trees as Oriena hid behind the tree she was beside, for things would be in place if all went well and the steam from the second attack of the woman named sora would seem to help oriena.


Name: Hidden scroll: Exploding Kunai Jutsu

Description: Using her mass scroll knowledge, Oriena has scrolls that when used, are enforced with fire chakra. Kunais are wrapped in explosive tags and tied with wires that are almost invisible to the naked eye and sealed into the scrolls by elder Nimakee clansmen. Oriena will sling the scroll open and 5 kunai will launch around the opponent. Upon her infusing the string with her chakra, the kunai equipped to that string will explode.

As sora landed on the hot, destroyed ground. The smoke quickly cleared up, and Sora stood still looking forward. She saw the female ninja she was just fighting dodge the attack with a few backflips, but didn't notice the sheet of lava over her head. The sheet came splashing down, covering the female from head to toe in a thick sheet of lava, continuously burning away at her flesh. Sora turned around as the girl under the sheet of Lava screamed in pain, though it quickly ended. Sora began walking the original way she was walking once again, continuing her travels by herself.

((There. You never replied to my second attack i made, and Sora is going to become inactive for right now. I play as Mizore Izumi now.))

(( Actually, this was also discussed by me and Kidate. I shot the sheet of lava well after the explosion had been made, directly above you. Above you would be where you are after you dodged the explosion, since i didn't do it all at once. Plus, you didn't even post mentioning it was dodged, and completely ignored it. Sorry. ))
