Travelling to Suna. Kato, Cut, Escort (Perhaps Tarnish)

Patiently waiting, Shin was tapping his foot alongside the beat of his favorite song. He hadn't actually met this boy yet. 'Cut' Was his name, how peculiar Shin thought. He never knew of someone without a last name- up until now that is. He wondered what he looked like, but couldn't draw to a final conclusion of appearance.

I wonder if Cut is a nickname, because he has a big scar spreading across his face... Shin pondered in his empty head.

Nonetheless, Shin was excited to know that he had an adversary, and not have to go in by himself. All his hard work had finally paid off, and if all goes well, Shin could be a chuunin by the next couple of weeks. Before he had signed up, he knew the outcomes of the exam, and the consequences of failing it. If you complete the stages, you become a chuunin, someone respected of their rank, working hard as a ninja for their carreer, and possibly the rest of their long lived lives.

However, if you fail, the brutal sentences be put upon your head. The major downside is, well, Death. Shin quivered at this word. You could fall asleep, and be assasinated, be walking, and shot down, looking for help, and get backstabbed, Heck, you could even be eating food and get poisined, but the worst death, would be not getting found, and having to get tortured by the many mysterious things behind the Suna's walls. Thinking of all this, a great smile fell upon Shin's face. He was looking forward to this exam, and was growing more impacient for the seconds it took for his partner to get here.

Speaking of Suna, it was at least a three days travel by foot, a long price to pay for the outcomes that may fall upon them. the blistering heat, the wild animals, and the wildness abode was, just, wild. Shin was still looking forward to this journey, as well as meeting his partner, Cut, and Escort, who was oblivious to Shin. On his back, he wore a backpack, filled with willy things that would be used for camping, and basic survival needs. This will be the first time he had travelled outside the village walls.

It was a nice spring day out, and he was anxiously awaiting the entrance of his team.

Tarnish heaved a sigh, as he made his way towards the gates of Konoha. He had been tasked with escorting a few of the Genin to the Chuunin exams, which he wasn't too thrilled about for multiple reasons. The first being that the Hokage had summoned him for a much bigger purpose, but had deemed it necesarry to escort the Genin, so his news would have to wait. The second reason being that as Genin, they would be inherently moving slowly. Escorts were the worst, because you couldn't rush. The last reason, was that he didn't really get along with Genins.

He was barely older than most Genin, so they tended to disrespect him. For the most part he didn't mind, but on missions and such, he had to put his foot down. He heaved another sigh, before he heard a fierce call in the air. Glancing up, Tarnish saw his faithful companion and partner, Talon the Falcon come soaring in, perching rather precariously on his shoulder. He had just come back from the hunt, and he bore a satisfied gleen in his eye.

As he walked out of the gate, Tarnish spotted who he assumed was one of the Genin he was escorting. Talon screeched loudly, flapping his wings as if to take off again. "Calm down," Tarnish said. He reached into his pocket and tossed Talon a few bird seeds, before returning his attention to the Genin. "So then, are you Cut? or Shin?" he asked. Having been briefed earlier, he made sure to remember their names. "I'm doing you a favor on this escort, so you'd better thank me," he added, not hiding his disdain at being given such a menial job.

Saikoro hurried to the Konoha gates to meet the traveling party on their way to Suna. He hoped he didn’t forget anything.

Considering that there was a lack of escorts, they decided that the Genin parties all travel together. The perils of traveling the great desert are as so as majestic as it is dangerous.

His backpack was filled to its limit with a knapsack tied over it. Saikoro instantly saw the Chunin from Suna and greeted him, "Im here!" He yelled, trying to catch his breath. He adjusted the weight of the backpack behind him as he felt the blood starting to numb on his left.

The sun had just risen as a beam of light hit the Chunin escort from Suna's forehead protector, which bounced and glared back at him. "Very admirable... I see not all Konoha are slackers." He noted.

“Give us a break,” out of no where, the Chunin escort from Konoha appeared with two other Genins, “We need a good entrance!”

“A new day, a new adventure!” The female Genin said with a glee. She was very enthusiastic about the whole deal.

The other boy with here didn’t seem to mind one way or another.

Two other Genins, another boy and girl then arrived.

Last, a boy came with a backpack as large as Saikoro’s. “Hey,” He said to Saikoro, “Your father said you left your canteen.” He handed it to Saikoro.

Saikoro was surprised. He didn’t recognize the boy, but it seemed he knew him. “Oh, thank you. You must be a neighbor of mine...” Saikoro assumed, “Im sorry I haven’t noticed you before.”

“That’s alright,” The boy replied. “Im quite forgettable.”

After introductions, the team of eight went on their way. “TO SUNA!” The young once cheered.

The evening was a beautiful one, the sky was clear with only a few clouds floating above them. The sun shone bright in the evening sky, no rain cloud in sight. Only a light breeze flowed through the wonderful scene, lightly brushing at the plants and the hair of the traveling ninja. Nothing could ruin this moment...other than a long stream of sand traveling above them. The sand suddenly stopped in its tracks and started to form letters. It was very hard to read, but said, "Good luck!" The words soon fused back together into a large pile of floating sand and continued its journey. It was headed towards the opposite direction--Konoha.

Shin waited and waited, there was no Cut. Perhaps it was a standoff schemed by one of the other villages to delay the arrival of Konohagakure? It didn't matter. Shortly after waiting, and slightly getting impacient, he saw someone in the near distance. An older looking kid, with some kind of eagle perched on his shoulder. As he came closer to Shin, the birds arms started to flaps and screech. Shin was easily inticed, and began to get excited that this may be some sort of fun.

"So, then, are you Cut or Shin?" The man asked, while telling his bird to calm down.

"My name is Shin. The one called "Cut" Seems to be a mith, and will apparantly not be showing up here..."
Shin said, trying to act cool infront of this new mysterious person. Shin came to a conclusion that he would be guiding them there. Oh Boy! I am going to be able to learn soooo much fromt his man! Shin pondered to himself.

Shin heard the older kid say something like "Favor, better thank", but he was so caught up in excitement that he was going to explode with happiness. This was the first time Shin would venture out of the gates. When he told his mom, he remembered her crying, because she said that was the last time she'd see Shin's father. Well, this time, Shin would prove to her, that Shin was a better man than his father, and come home a chuunin!

As they walked out of the gates, Shin saw the vast forest. He had seen it manytimes, sitting in tall trees, walking past the giant gate, or other places over the walls. But it was much different than actually being there to experience the fresh air, and all the calm nature. As they walked through the gates, shin started an all out sprint, hoping that he could beat the chuunin kid there in under an hour. Little did Shin know, that it would be at least a 3 days full out chuunin sprint...

"See ya there!!!"Shin said, waving to the chuunin standing at the gate.
