THE FIRST VICTIM (Private - Mezuki/Skin)

Mezuki awoke completely dazed. His body felt limp and immensely weak. His vision was blurred and it felt like he could barely stand. He had been dangerously weakened, there was no doubt. He gagged and struggled for air, for it felt like his whole neck was clogged with something. It was. A metal harness surrounded Mezuki's whole face. A metal rod jetted down his throat, blocking all air to escape. He would have to breathe out his nose. The setting was dark. The whole room was securely locked and was coated in titanium and rusty metal. There were various pieces of glass around the room, along with rusty chipped off pieces of swords and blades. And then the most noticeable item, a tape. Without hesitation, Mezuki squirmed and screamed his way over to the tape. Pressing play eagerly, a loud, crackling, ominous voice presented itself.

"I understand the humans' mental and physical system more than anyone else... With this I can put the individuals into a performance. I am the puppeteer. You are my puppets. And I know exactly which strings to pull, to make a great ''performance''... ... ...

... ... ... Evening, Mezuki Nara. I've watched you for a long time. You cherish power more than everything. You say you care, but do you...? No. You value life only because it has given you power, not existence. However, today that will change. As you can see there is a metal device around your whole head. The rod going into your throat will eject blades after two whole minutes, thus ripping apart your whole throat. The only way to escape this gruesome trap is to unlock yourself. There are eight keys located in your body, more specifically, your arms and legs. There is only one correct key. Cut into yourself with objects around the room and retrieve the proper key. Waste to much time and you will be decapitated gruesomely and painfully. Cut recklessly and you will hemorrhage causing you to faint and then fail.

Live or die... Mezuki... Make your choice..."

Mezuki was confused as to how he had gotten in this trap but he knew he had no time to think about it. Mezuki quickly crawled for one of the swords on the ground and closed his eyes as he slowly stuck the sword into his arm and began to drag it cutting his arm open hoping to find a key in it. As he stuck his fingers into the cut searching around for the key he let out a loud cry in pain tears rolling down his face.

The blood from the cut began to run down his arm and drip onto the floor covering his akatsuki robe with his blood. Mezuki didn't find the key in his arm and he was still running out of time. He used the same sword to again cut into his right thigh not even closing his eyes this time or flinching he didn't have time for pain. Cutting through his leg the pain was excruciating jolting up through his body but he had to ignore it for now. Mezuki again stuck his finger into the cut he made hoping to the key this time.

Mezuki began to sob his blood mixing with his tears, He wasen't ready to die yet and not finding the key in his right thigh made him feel like his life was over already, Mezuki began to look around for whoever had knocked him out not finding him at all. Mezuki had to hurry as he began to see things blurry which must be a sign that he was already losing to much blood, Mezuki tried to talk forgetting the tool was down his throat making him gag again. Picking up the sword for one more attempt he aimed the sword at his right forearm holding it with his left arm barely being that just moving his arm to wrap his hand around the sword cause more blood to gush from the wound on his forearm. Mezuki stabbed into his right forearm blood running down his arm again. Sticking his fingers in the arm hoping to find the key that would save his life. Mezuki was already sitting in a large puddle of blood and if he didn't find it soon he would pass out and the blade would cut through his throat killing him.

Mezuki fished through his arm, his screams now a painful gargle. His vision was blurry, and his once jet black robe was now maroon with such blood loss. With a feeling of sole defeat, Mezuki slicked his hands through his forearm once more. What was once a blurry and weak body jerked and spasmed at the feeling of a key. Holding it quickly to the lock, he fitted it through and twisted it. It stopped and the device sprung off with the help of Mezuki's hands. He was now gasping for air, puking in his own puddle of blood shed. Tears streamed down his face and he screamed for help, begging to escape. With no press of the Play button on the tape, it uttered a faint and demeaning voice.

"Congratulations Mezuki Nara... You have won the game... Out of pure skill or luck I do not know... However, I do know, now, that you cherish life's existence, not just life's power. If you truly value life, your final step is to leave. By doing this, you will never see me again and, or, witness what you have just experienced - that is if you have learned something. Although, if you are that willing to die and leave life's gift behind, then you may stay and slowly die by yourself... Again, Congratulations Mezuki Nara."

With that the tape let out a small amount of smoke and flame, the tape melting under the heat.

Mezuki pulled the bloody key from his arm and began to search for a spot to unlock it. Mezuki quickly located the latch and unlocked it throwing the contrap to the ground just in time as the blade shot out of it. Mezuki had no time to look for the person who did this to him and get his revenge he would instead have to get to the nearest village and have medical ninja heal him or face death. Mezuki got to his feet his whole body seem as if it was cut and still being cut his body covered in blood. Mezuki managed to make it out of the and to the nearby village but was not able to talk he instead passed out multiple medical ninja coming to his aid and taking him to the hospital to tend to his wounds.
