| Maikeru was still wondering how he got dragged into this... Some kid walked up to him holding some sort of net-on-a-stick and told him to play a game called Tetris... or was it Temmis? Anywho, before Maikeru could say anything he had the net-on-a-stick shoved into his hand and had the kid run off in some odd direction. Maikeru didnt know exactly who the kid was or what he was supposed to do, but he might as well go give the kid his net-on-a-stick back. As he walked in the direction the kid went off, he was stopped by a merchant who was selling kunai for a cheap price.
A few kunai richer and a little bit poorer, he continued off in the direction the kid went. Finally he got to some sort of arena. There was an area painted green in a rectangle shape, with white lines forming four boxes in a 2x2 rectangle. Down the middle of the field widthwise, there was a large rectangular net about 3 feet high. Maikeru was horribly confused, but after all, he just wanted to give the net-on-a-stick back so it didnt really matter. He walked onto the arena and was about to say Here is your net back, now I have to go train with some of my jutsu, so im sorry i cant play this Tetris game, whatever it is. But before he could the kid started to speak up.

| Maneki said to the guy "you can keep that and so you understand what were doing here a guide book." The books title was "the ninjas guide to tennis." He then waited for the guy to read it. | |

| Maikeru was apparantly not leaving till he played. Oh well. Maikeru opened the book at studied it. It was full of nonesense like "Return" and "serve" and "court" and the main jist he got was of a mall's horrible cafeteria, but he did learn the main point of the game is to hit the ball back and forth until somebody missed. Seemed pretty easy, but kinda pointless. Worse, jutsu wasnt allowed unless it was taijutsu or kenjutsu, niether of which Maiku was very good at. Sigh. Maikeru closed the book, grabbed what he now knew was called a racket (although it still is just a net on a stick) smirked and told the kid to "serve" the ball. | |

| Maneki heard the guy say to serve the ball. Maneki went to the back line and concentrated chakra into his net making strings. After doing that he tossed the abll into the air and smacked it. It went flying at the guys feet. | |

| Well it did say taijutsu was allowed... Maikeru kicked the ball up high, jumped, spinned, and kicked the ball again towards the other person... | |

| Maneki saw the ball heading back towards him and said "you have to hit the ball with the racket." Maneki then charged the net and did a drop shot dropping the ball at the net. | |

| Maikeru was suprised, if taijustsu was allowed, then why did he have to hit it with the racket? Sigh, this boy made no sense. He swung the racket at the ball, trying to aim at the boy's head. If he could knock him out, he might be able to leave... | |

| Maneki saw the guy return the ball actually but he was now aiming at his head. Maneki acitvated all his arms muscles and hit the ball at the guy.
Name:Hadoukyuu Rank:ranks with user Element:n/a Description:This a very powerful maneuver that uses 120% of an arm's strength, though it puts a lot of strain on it. Tranining can help reduce the strain.

| Maikeru sighed, That was a long shot anyways. Maikeru again made to hit the ball, but as the racket hit it, he discovered that the ball was moving much faster, and as such, his racket took more effort to push. The impact of the ball made his arm twinge with sudden pain, but he kept going. Now he realized that this wasnt going to be as easy as he thought... which made it even more pointless. | |

| Maneki saw the guy barely return the ball and launch it into the air. Maneki charged the net and did a dunk smash. The dunk smash went straight at the guys side of the court at the left corner. | |

| Maikeru dove to hit the ball, and made a sucessful hit, but the force of the impact, as well as having his arm crossed over his body, made too much strain on his arm, and he sprained his wrist. As the ball fell to the floor, Maiku dropped to his knees. He looked up at the kid.
"You realize this never would have happened if you didnt try and make me play this stupid game. Maybe this 'tennis' is a waste of energy, and no one should bother with it. Now if you dont mind, im going to get this wrist looked at, and i dont plan on coming back here, ever."
With that Maikeru gingerly got up, grabbed a strip of cloth from one of his pouches, and gingerly fashioned it into a sling, then went to The Leaf's medical ward, not bothering to look back.
