Kutsui vs. first genin to post (read description)

Kutsui waits for her opponent at a small overgrown shrine to a forgotten god. At one side lies a 30 times 50 meter forest, on the other a small lake. The little arena lies in a small valley, and so it is surrounded by mountains. The sun is shining, and no cloud is in the skies.

In front of the shrine sits Kutsui. She is grinding her swords silently, preparing them for the upcoming fight. To avoid being attacked without knowing, she has released a small amount of lightning chakra to create a sensory area. She can sense how the electricy flows, and if it is being disturned.
Finally she stands up, sheathing her swords again. She is ready.

OOC: Sorry for these short posts. I'm not used to writing very long posts, expect a lot of short ones.

Kutsui had turned towards Arietta as soon as she had entered the electrical field. Her face showed no emotion what so ever. Not because Kutsui didn't feel anything, in fact her heart was already excited, pumping increased amounts of oxygen to her body, and if she had not been pale already, you would have noticed her skin moving a few tones towards white. All a fight-or-run reaction. She was not used to serious battles. And this would be one.

As she felt Ariettas impulse of electricity disturb her sensory field, she was reminded that she had to stay focused. Also, she noticed that her opponent had the same affinity as herself. Hopefully she wouldn't be better skilled. Kutsui turned her entire body towards Arietta, her heartbeat slowly calming down.
"Hello," she answered. "You're here to fight me, no?"
A stupid thing to say. Of course it was the right person. Nobody else would come here at this exact time. Also, noone else would release their chakra upon seing a random person here. That would be odd, wouldn't it? As Kutsui realized this, she drew one of her two swords and and fell back into a defensive stance.
"Shall we begin?"

A dance... Kutsui thought to herself. It almost seemed kind of the other girl to invite Kutsui to enjoy such a beautiful thing with her. Still, it would be a dance of death. Why did people dirty wondrous things like that?
Kutsui nodded slightly, still without any emotion. As soon as Arietta put her hands on the back, Kutsui thought that it might be to hide something. Probably a weapon of some sort. After all, she hadn't gotten a fair look at the opponent.
With her free hand she concentrated a small amount of chakra, just to have a reserve ready. Then she bent her legs a little. At this range, she could reach Arietta within a second, which would leave little options for her, unless she was really fast. A moment later Kutsui dashed towards her opponent, swinging her sword horisontally towards her stomach. A simple opening, though dangerous.

The eyes bearing the colors and the first stage in abilities of her clan, Arietta simply, moved backwards a bit, the jutsu she had used just as Kutsui moved beginning to take effect. The surge of lightning impulsed outwards from it's Mistress, rapidly moving towards the body of Kutsui. Whether she was a lightning user or not, Arietta made note that the girl did not use another jutsu but instead used her own weapons. The lightning then would travel up the soles of the girl's shoes, up her body, running through her own veins. The shock would delay Kutsui enough for Arietta to shift. From the eyes of her opponent, Arietta would move to the left hand side, a couple of meters back. The movement took a second. Something quite simple. The girl watched as the sword basically swung at simple air particles as the girl clasped her hands together as if she were signing.

Copying the other girl's move, a spark would be seen in the cup of palm, chakra being stored as it begins to morph into a sphere. That sphere would continue to spark silently, as if the sparks were dancing along the outer surface of that controlled and compressed spiritual energy. The bottom of her boots lightly touched the ground as she seemed to dance across the land at a certain gracefulness. Her eyes, continued to lock on Kutsui, awaiting the movements of the girl as she felt the heat and the impulsing sphere begin to form.

(My thought: Kutsui would reach Arietta at the same moment the jutsu began. But ok. It would be boring if noone ever took a hit, wouldn't you say?)

As the lightning rippled through Kutsui's body, her muscles spasmed and she fell on her knees. She was quickly on her feet again, however, and it seemed as if the jutsu had not harmed her at all.
Kutsui noted the opponent's jutsu, getting a clue about her style too. She would probably not go in to close combat. Kutsui would have to force her. She made a few hand seals and with the chakra reserve already in her body she released four clones. Arietta wouldn't know which was the original.
In perfect symmetry the five Kutsuis made another sequence of hand seals, and a few electrical sparks began forming on their left palms.
Kutsui eyed her opponent as she danced across the grass. Then she and her clones dispersed and dashed towards Arietta once again to meet her in another clash. Three of the clones attacked her from the sides, slashing their swords towards her from each 120 degree angle, making the only escape route upwards. The two remaining Kutsui (including the real one) had sheathed their swords and would throw shuriken towards Arietta as she hung weightless in the air without means of dodging.

I find it fair due to:
Family History: Originating in kumogakure, this clan was accused of espionage, imprisoned and tortured. After a few years the Kurokamis managed to escape to Iwagakure and get permission to live there. Having endured torturing the refugees had developed a high pain threshold.

High pain threshold would be enough to ignore a D-rank jutsu. That being said, it doesn't protect her from damage, only from the pain that follows. Therefore the shock and the spasms from the lightning made her fall to the ground and probably did some damage to her. But since it didn't feel that bad, she could rise afterwards as if nothing had happened.
That was my judgement, and if you find it wrong, please note that I have no intention of godmodding. In that case I would have created a black hole inside Arietta's head.

Notice, the hand combination for the jutsu was done before you moved, once you did, I moved back and touched the ground. I increased the distance between both of us and there was time for her to touch the ground before you were able to take a hit.

Also, with the family history, thats fine. But no one is born with a high pain threshold even if their families have obtained one. Being as a genin, everyone is weak, so the pain threshold has nothing to do with you unless you say in your history that you obtained your own person pan threshold. Does that make sense? But nevertheless, lets continue. It's just fun and games after all.

Arietta, who was basically ahead of the game for most of her little games, noticed the girl fall to her knees momentarily, only to get up. Her strange optics seemed to focus upon the hands of the girl, who made the symbols with her hands quite obvious, in this formed four clones. How interesting. Her mind began to race in an excited battle against itself as she felt her own breath draw in and out, the sparkling wonder still within her hand. She would begin to focus her chakra towards the general direction of her feet once she saw and could not make out which Kutsui was the real one. When the clones and their Mistress fled the scene into the bushes, Arietta released the chakra reserve towards her feet, making her bound upwards at 47.5 degree angle, making her bound to the right side, of all things. As three of clones rushed out towards the spot where Arietta was .5 seconds ago, she would watch them all hit each other, those clones disappearing. With her direction of up, she soon felt a shuriken hit her, her head snapping upwards as she bounded off of the tree in a split second after hovering there. The shuriken that hit her right shoulder simply bounced off as the Lightning Strike Armor bounded it away from her. The shuriken that followed behind that one would hit the tree after Arietta moved.

Her feet planting onto the ground, Arietta would bound towards the left, proceeding that she would pick up a stick with her free hand, which was fairly sharp. Her chakra would flow down into her free hand, a yellowish aura surrounding that hand. Three down, two more to go, was the thought process within the girl's mind as she contorted her body slightly, flinging the stick at a dangerous rate, her regular accuracy boosted up by 50% because of her clan. The stick would fly as spear, heading towards the left Kutsui within .012 seconds. At the speed she was running and the chakra boost within her free hand that threw the stick would make it fly at an amazing speed. .4 seconds afterwards, she would fling the lightning ball that was storing up in her right hand towards the right Kutsui. Because her gaze was flickering back and forth from one Kutsui to another, she aimed carefully and made sure of their movements. Once more, she leaped upwards towards a tree, at an angle of 100 degrees, bounding off of that one, up to a sturdy branch. She continued to move Eastward as her hands came together, her digits moving in perfect harmony as she prepared something else up her non existing sleeves.

Kutsui was part of the torture. She was with them when they developed it. I've even written that it is unknown whether it's inheritable, and it probably isn't. But Kutsui has a high pain threshold. Maybe I should have quoted her academy arc. It's specified there.
Also, Off-topic, genetics can enhance pain thresholds. It's all a matter of the biology.

And to the point, hoping that no more OOC stuff occurs:

Kutsui observed her attack's result. She noted the shuriken bounce off of Arietta with a flash of lightning. A shield of some sort. That had to be further examined. She saw Arietta grabbing a stick as she ran towards Kutsui, and the pale girl quickly readied for the incoming attack. Her body became tense and as the stick flew through her clone as if it was thin air, she moved towards it, away from the charging lightning ball's path.

As Arietta moved away from her (I assume Eastwards is away), she jumped into the undergrowth. This wasn't too bad. Now she would have some time to prepare a few things of her own. She kneaded the same hand seals as she did before, and a score (20) of her clones began pursuing Arietta, though not moving in for an attack. Meanwhile kutsui prepared a few exploding kunai using explosion tags, and released her old sensory area. Then she ran into the forest, remaining hidden from Arietta's view.

(Assuming Eastwards is towards Kutsui) Kutsui kneaded a few of her own hand seals and infused both her palms with lightning chakra and her feet with regular chakra. She then changed her stance to a hand-to-hand combat position and awaited the opponent's moves. She would use the chakra in her feet to shoot into the air if Arietta would chose to launch a ranged attack, and if she would choose to go in to close combat, Kutsui would quickly block the first blow with her left hand. This would lock that limbs movement, keeping it in place for when her right hand would hit a major muscle, sending a short lightning pole into it making a critical wound and weakening the muscle for hopefully the rest of the fight. This would take a fraction of a second.

Arietta’s fingers began to form symbols once more, her hands moving at a quick pace. Once completed, seven others of herself appeared the clones and the real girl beginning to switch places as they all leaped upwards, their feet pressing into the side of tree in harmony. Each one took off in different directions, one moving to the North, one to the North East, one to the East, one to the South East, one to the South, one to the South West, one to the West and one to the North West. All eight of the Arietta’s began to make hand seals at different times, randomly placed. From that, the same jutsu would be used as the clones multiplied by three each. Arietta, who was now in tune enough to notice her opponent's chakra pinpointed the girl directly. Why? Because her clones and Arietta's clones were mere holograms of a sort, they do not have chakra flowing in their veins like the two girls. The mass of clones continued to spread out until turning around a point, rushing in towards the 20 other clones. Each of Arietta's clone reacted to her command through her own thoughts, those clones running into the 20 others. The remaining rushed towards Kutsui, running around her at different directions. Every step they would take would catch no similarity between the others. The area where Kutsui stood was sunlit and quite visible, the wide open sky hovering on top of the whole forest.

From afar, Arietta slid into the shadows somewhere Southward, bounding away for a safe distance. The others would jump up, throwing their own shurikens towards the body of Kutsui. They would surround Kutsui above from the air, sending the rain of weapons from the heavens down to the ground. Arietta placed her hands together, her digits forming together perfectly as she closed her eyes, letting her mind begin to catch Kutsui's chakra within her mind, allowing her to see the true color of that girl. From the pitch darkness of her mind, she saw the color of the girl move. In sync with the first step from Kutsui, Arietta placed her hands down onto the bed of damp cool grass. The surge would run out once more, filling the whole area, running through the bushes and up the trunk of the tree's. With that, Arietta and her little friends would fling 1/3 of a dozen kunais towards the desirable chakra filled target.

{@ Kutsui, sorry I took long to post. My mistake, could you next time please state a simple sentence as to why it works though? You may know, but please remember that these fights are public, and anyone can look at them, so they may get the wrong idea. One thing leads to the next, and I'm sure you know the rest of the story. The thing doesnt have to be long, just : It didn't hurt her, because of the training he went through." Obvs not like that exactly, but you get the deal. Thank you :P)

(Question, Arietta: That she is in 'tune' enough to sense Kutsui's chakra... What does that mean? Is it her eyes or is she a sensory type (which seems as a rare sight between genin)? Also, bunshin cannot make jutsu since they have no substance. Bunshin can not split into more bunshin, unless they are kage bunshin. Or am I horribly mistaken? :o It is fine for now though. I will continue.)


As Kutsui were surrounded by a group of Ariettas and they hurled a rain of weapons towards her, she drew her swords and held them along her arms so they would yield a little protection. Trying to shield herself from as many blades as possible, she curled together - still on her feet - and protected her vital organs with her arms. She was surprised, however, when nothing happened to her, since the weapons she had tried to block were mere holograms. She looked up, and just in time to see a lightning surge, resembling the one she had suffered from before, spread out along the ground at a fairly fast rate. It didn't take long to decide what to do; jumping upwards, away from the ground would take her away from that threat. In the air, however, Kutsui was met by four kunai (1/3 of a dozen (12) is four. Seing as there are four bunshin left, it is possible that they are all holograms). Deciding that they were a lesser threat, she repeated her tactic from the ground and protected her vitals. She blinked and released a little moan when her right arm was hit by the real kunai.
Landing on the ground again, relatively long time after the lightning wave passed, she eyed the kunai sticking out of her arm and decided to let it be and ignore it as well as she could. She didn't have time to stop the bleeding from a kunai wound right now. Instead she kneaded a few hand seals, releasing a new sensory area of lightning chakra in a 20 meter circumference and infusing her hands with the effects of two other jutsu. Facing Arietta she once again positioned herself for combat. A few drops of cold sweat ran down her face. The seemingly high amount of chakra her opponent possesed was rather intimidating.
If Arietta would choose to go in to close combat, Kutsui would quickly block the first blow with her left hand. This would lock that limbs movement, keeping it in place for when her right hand would hit a major muscle, sending a short lightning pole into it making a critical wound and weakening the muscle for hopefully the rest of the fight. Keeping her eyes closed, the copy caters soon ran off into several different directions, all lingering momentarily. Soon, the snapping of twigs would be heard as Arietta and her others would race around within the safety of the forest trees. These trees began to cast a shadow as the sun moved, the area Kutsui stayed within still being sun lit and bright. Hands moving once more in perfect harmony, a sudden electrical spark would be seen at different time intervals as the girl continued to run around, the same armor raising up, covering her body. Dashing out into the sunlight, Arietta's digits would move once more, the eyes of the girl allowing her to be 50% more accurate, as usual, a spark soon beginning to wake up from its deep slumber. Twisting her body, the girl and the holograms would fake a kick to the side of Kutsui, soon twisting her body the other way, jumping up into the air, her body rotating towards the sky.

Since her kick was a fake hit, Arietta placed enough distance between herself and the girl that would allow her to barely miss the left hand. Landing on the ground from the side of Kutsui, the girl would unsheathe a kunai from her pocket as the right hand flew out towards Arietta. Twisting the kunai, she would hold the small knife so the point would be towards her arm and not the opponent. Ducking, she would kick off with her legs, soon sweeping a leg at the back of Kutsui's knees. In this same moment, Arietta twisted her body once more, kicking off towards the right direction of the other girl. Raising her hand, she would jerk her arm back as the girl's hand continued to move forwards, the girl a safe distance away from the left hand to the point where Kutsui, if she was still standing would become easily unbalanced by leaning forward so much. Small pants escaped the girl's rose colored lips as she continued to move backwards after she had kicked off, soon shifting a bit as she stood up.

As she stood, the girl used her wrist to wipe away the small beads of sweat beginning to form, her black tank top sticking to her skin. Arietta continued to move as her holograms disappeared one by one, leaving the two girls. As she circled around the other, her gaze would narrowed slightly as her eyes were located on Kutsui, following every movement she made.

Kutsui, having stopped her counter attack when Arietta stopped her fake kick and instead turning and hammering her right hand towards Arietta's leg when she kicked towards her knees. Her sensory field provided extra prediction of Arietta's movements, since it gave Kutsui a good view of when her opponent slowed down or accelerated in her attacks. Kutsui was no apprentice in close combat, and she sould gladly fight Arietta, who seemed like a mid range ninja, in that manner.
So as soon as Arietta began circling around Kutsui, she would dash towards her track and attempt to intercept her with a blow towards her right thigh, with her hand still infused with the Numbing Touch.

(Arietta seems to somehow know that she don't wanna come in contact with Kutsui's hands in any way
Also, excuse me for the short post, but when it comes to fast combat I prefer not writing too many moves in one post, so that my fellow roleplayer has the chance to react to each and any of my attacks)

With the lightning armor reactivated beforehand, the currents that hummed around her body found the connection as the girl, Kutsui, slammed her hand into her leg. The fist that landed on her leg would soon feel a sudden shock as the armor sparked at the touch of an outside object. In this case, the fist. Seeing as how the girl failed to move, the kunai within the girl's hand would press onto the pale skin of the other girl's neck. With the extra jerk of that arm, she pulled the kunai away even faster, the cold blade sinking into flesh quickly, creating a gash along the girl's neck, then a diagonal gash beginning to appear as she pulled away. The gash ran down the girl's arm and her right side. As the blade ran through, Arietta's fourth finger shot up, slipping into the little circular metal hole of the second kunai that was stuck in Kutsui's arm. With the force of momentum carrying her and the upward motion that followed, the kunai that pierced Kutsui's skin earlier on was forcefully taken out, along with an upward motion, creating another gash. If Kutsui was still alive at this point, Arietta would continue.

With two kunais in hand, Arietta would close her eyes once more, feeling the beads of sweat begin to roll down the side of her face until she finally turned around, leaping backwards at a sideways angle, flinging her right hand as the two kunais shot out. The two kunais shot out in a way that if those little digits followed after her, the devilish weapon would intercept while the bloodied twin would follow the same consequence, but in the general direction of forwards. Foot landing on the ground, the left hand graped the right wrist, her body being shot backwards as the surge of lighting collected in one orb shot out towards the pale one. Biting her bottom lip, the girl's digits danced with each other as she closed her eyes tightly, bounding towards her back hand side. With the time that ticked by so desirably, the girl reached the outside of the 20 meters, her momentum from step one to now continuing to flow within her muscles.

It was science. Obviously.

^this was very inaccurate as you never specified that it was a sort of attack.


Falling to the ground once more, the pain from her wounds finally got to Kutsui. Through the veil of pain she sensed her opponent pull back and outside of her sensory area. Strange. Wouldn't she finish her off? Was it some sort of game or would Kutsui be left to die from bloodloss? From the lack of Kutsui's kocentration, her chakra infusions in her hands slowly faded. Blinking with her eyes, Kutsui looked up towards Arietta. What is she doing?

With that sudden push from the impulse of the lightning orb, the kunai that shot out in front of it wqas infused with the orb since the orb was much faster then it. With a spark of delight, the fallen girl would soon feel the kunai enter her chest area, directly at her pumping heart. The explosion of the lightning orb touching the girl's flesh sent a wave of electricity through her body. The explosion occurred as the girl, if she did not die from blood loss or from the stab in the heart would become a charred corpse.

Small pants escaped the lips of the girl as she raised her right hand, wiping her dampened forehead with the back of her right hand. She walked forward, her gaze soon flickering back to that mint green hue. Stopping in front of the charred corpse, she soon, stepped on it, crackles being heard as the body was crushed down to mere dust. As the wind flew by, it would take the ashes of this woman out through the forest. She turned. She walked off into the distance as the sun continued to burn high in the sky. What a pity.
