OffRPDM Hayashi v. Kidate

Hayashi stood in the middle of a considerably large plot of land. It was set aside for epic battles and stuff like that, hard to find for those who haven't partaken in any. Hayashi received a map and a little challenge from someone that led him here. He'd heard of this place, but never imagined that he would ever partake in any event in this location. Though, he figured he was royally done for if the person who challenged him had a spare map to use for challenges.

Hayashi stood lazily holding his puppets. He knew he would need them near instantly, so he wasn't going to bother with setting them up like a trap. He wondered who had challenged them, and even more so, why he had even bothered coming. Maybe he wanted to see how strong his opponent really was, maybe he was tired of living. Maybe he even thought himself a god. He couldn't figure out why, but there he stood, awaiting his opponent.

Kidate's achromatic hair was messy and spiked out every as usual, nearly covering his soft cat ears. In fact, the only evidence of the ears was the gentle, pink flesh within the ears that stuck out against the snowy plain of hair like a sore thumb. His face was heavily scarred and covered in dirt and grime, he hadn't stopped his tracking for days. Beneath his eyes were heavy bags from the lack of sleep, but they had been there for years now. His teeth were glistening, fangs elongated and barred with his cracked lips pulled back. There was a disturbing fire in the man's emerald, feline eyes; the flames of hell itself. Chakra poured off of the man in waves, he did not attempt to control it or keep it hidden. He had forsaken the unprofessional outfit that had consisted of black t-shirts, torn up jeans, and top hats. Today, he had donned his old armor and prepared for battle. The armor was as white as his hair, heavy plates covering his torso and shoulders, with lighter and more flexible plates protecting his legs and allowing movement capabilities to be at just below maximum. Around his waist was a golden belt, which glistened like the golden trimming along his armor in the setting sun. Attached to his belt on the left side of his waist were two sheaths. The top sheath held an oddly-shaped long sword, that spiked out at the middle of the blade. The cross guard was in the form of an eye, with two spikes coming out from each corner. The handle itself was wrapped in gray leather, the metal silvery and the pommel another eye. The bottom sheath was a simple katana, five feet in length and silvery through and through. Its cross guard was in the form of some runic symbol, the handle wrapped in a length of silver ribbon. Kidate's arms were gloved with black leather, his feet armoured with grieves. On Kidate's back was the white cape of the Gyouan, emblazoned with the green gyouan symbol; a kanji symbol meaning "peace". It was ironic, this cape was worn by a man who had peace completely shattered and thrown from his mentality.

Despite the armor, Kidate was fast as lightning, which was ironically one of his least favorite elements. It was far too tactical, not very beast-like in its nature, and required too much focus for his taste. Kidate had sent a challenge to one Tayashi, an impressive swordsman from near Konohagakure, but it seemed he had misspelled the name. Standing in the plot of land, unable to see Kidate approaching, was a little boy; a worm. Infuriated, Kidate disappeared, reappearing just behind the boy. With a series of hand seals a massive cone-shaped barrier was erected around the boy, leaving him one escape; through Kidate. Then, suddenly, massive spikes of wood flew from his arm in a wave, crashing through the cone and covering every possible inch with deadly, sharp, wood. This was a killing blow for sure, something that Kidate used often to take care of a large group of nuisances, it would work just as well on the boy.

Moku Shouheki no Jutsu - Wood Barrier Technique

will form handseals and cause beams of wood to emerge from the ground.

incoming blast.

Daijurin no Jutsu - Great Forest Technique

Mokuton • Daijurin no Jutsu is a unique Ninjutsu technique used by Kidate. Using his ability to utilize Mokuton (wood release) techniques, Kidate
will extend a large mass of spikes from his arm. These spikes can act
both to impale his target and as a barrier to protect a comrade.


Shunshin no Jutsu - Body Flicker Technique

Shunshin
no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. The ninja will appear and
disappear in an instant, allowing them to retreat or attack suddenly.
To facilitate the movement the ninja will often use nearby elements
such as mist, sand or leaves to mask their appearance or disappearance.

Instantly, it had begun. "Damn..." he muttered as the wood caged around him. There were only two ways out, towards his opponent who was already making handseals, not the best choice, and down. Instinctively, the ground opened underneath him and he fell in just in time to dodge the spikes. He made a few handseals as he fell and punched the tunnel wall. Above ground, little spikes the size of tacks jutted up from the ground, and grew even larger, into the length of daggers and as wide around at the base as size 10 shoes, with even more little spikes jutting from them, covering 20 meters. Landing at the bottom of his little pit, he made the earth over him close up so the enemy couldn't pursue.

He quickly made more handseals and the spikes above ground spouted even longer spikes, each added spike another foot in length. This would hopefully deal some damage above ground while he tried to escape by tunneling from 6 feet under.

Description: After the required handseals, small spikes as tall as tacks, made of pseudo-wood spike up from the ground making it hard to walk. Also, as he uses more chakra, he can make these spikes expand and lengthen... allowing him to make field of spikes the length of daggers and the thickness of a size 10 shoe. Also these become briars at that point, and more tack-sized spikes stick out of them, though those don't grow. This will cover an area of 20 square meters.

Kidate was disappointed to find that it hadn't worked. Suddenly, a large spike of wood appeared by his foot. As suddenly as this had occured, thousands of others appeared like the first. Kidate hopped up into the air, landing on a stream of wind chakra he had made, his hands in his pockets. He rode the stream bent over slightly, climbing higher as the spikes did. When the spikes stopped, Kidate lazily hopped higher into the air, flipping over so that he was facing down. Suddenly a massive blast of wind escaped his mouth, though he appeared to be yawning. The wind tunnel crushed the wood beneath him like foam, scattering it away as it tore at the ground. He would land again on the soft crater that his jutsu had created. There, he would simply stand and wait for his opponent to reappear.

Effect: This is the basis of all wind techniques. A user who masters this skill is able to summon wind chakra at any time with ease. The basic gist of this jutsu is that they can now use wind-based jutsu. But they can also use this seperately to create gusts of wind out of nowhere.

Hayashi was somehow yet to be found, so he managed to get away with his life. He would watch out for this guy in the future...way too powerful for his own good.
