The Avenger Returns (Anyone, hoping for Akatsuki)

Footsteps crashed through puddles at varied paces, the sound of the rain causing a constant drilling noise against the pavement, nearly enough to drown out whispers. In such a dark gloomy place, many a whisper was still being told as well. Eki could feel it around him as he strolled on down the metropolis that was the Rain Village, that ominous presence as thick as the moisture in the air around him. As he walked on, water washed over his cloak, dripping from the many frills and edges, practically consuming his face as it splattered off the top of his hood. A light hissing sound emanated from a woven basket tied to his side, and sighing again, the assassin shifted, readjusting to attempt to position it further beneath his robes.

"We shouldn't be long Shinju... Shouldn't be long."

Glancing up, Eki found that the downpour was increasing, and as such, even the locals, accustomed to the rain, had begun to retreat indoors. Perfect... It was miserable business that Eki found himself here to begin with. He was on a mission, once again. No longer to the Sand's disposal however, Eki now worked for himself. It had it's benefits, being your own boss. Terrible dental however. Regardless, he had determined that his goal would be to better the world, and well, this was the last location he recalled hearing of Akatsuki. What better club to start with?

As water continued to cascade down from the sky, so did Eki's walk continue in a same, flowing manner. Keeping his eyes open, he was quickly losing hope, as with the increasing storm, there was less and less to look at. He had a feeling however, that what he was looking for would indeed find him. This was problematic however, as as an assassin, it was usually Eki's prerogative to get the jump on his targets... Not the opposite.

"The high ground is yours, come out and play."

As the Darkness swallowed Danzo, the man stood in a little corner watching the rain murderously strike the ground. His eyes slowly closed as he began to listen to the rain which brought Some thought to his head, he began to think of killing someone. The sound of the rain was very similar to sound of someone's blood splattering all over a wall, or so he thought. This simple picture brought a smile to Danzo's face as he now wanted to spill someones blood as they walked the streets or the Rain village. Using his arms Danzo pushed himself from the wall allowing his pale blue face to be revealed as he began to walk down the streets looking for the perfect victim. Danzo, I am Hungry. FEED ME!!! Danzo heard in his head, but knew exactly what and who it was. The big monstrous Blade on his back wasn't just a regular blade. It was able to speak to Danzo as if they were one whole person. Danzo chuckled as he spoke out loud. Silence...You...I will get Feed you when the right time comes. Danzo said as he walked down the street with his head down making it look as if he was talking to himself, but no one would say anything because he was a member of the Akatsuki and in the Rain village they ruled all over. The Akatsuki were only mentions if in a good way no one ever talked down on the Akatsuki or else they were killed without hesitation. Each step that Danzo took caused a loud splashing sound that also caused his Akatsuki cloak to became wet at the bottom making Danzo annoyed. He stopped, the looking to the air took in a deep breath threw his noes. The sweet smell of blood ran threw his veins and his eyes suddenly became smaller than before. His eyes closed as he focused because no one had been around him at the moment. Inhaling and exhaling his eyes opened again and his walking began at once.

As Danzo continued Walking trying to leave the village for his own personal reason's, he slowly approached a figure who had said ""The high ground is yours, come out and play."" Danzo thought he had heard from the man, but wasn't sure and as he slowly got closer he replied. "Come out and play? Hmm well i'm out and ready to play. Danzo said as he release a chuckle towards the man as now he were close enough to see that Danzo was a member of Akatsuki. His face wasn't really visible. the only things that could be spotted out on Danzo was the large sword he had on his back, A mist headband around his shoulder with the Mist Symbol crossed out, and bandage that was wrapped around his neck. Danzo looked at the man with a insane look in his eyes. Slowly reaching for the hilt of his blade or so it looked like it, Danzo smiled "if you wish to play then Let's Play My Friend, But if you know whats best for you you'll walk away while you have the chance." Danzo said as he retreated from his blade, putting it back within his cloak and just stood waiting for a response to the clueless shinobi. From what the shinobi was looking at Danzo wasn't making and sudden movement, but he had quickly preformed a couple hand seals creating a thick mist that Infiltrated the whole are making it hard to see anything in front of you. "Times up...Lets Play.....Demon its time" Danzo said as he began laughing while throwing three or Four hidden Senbon threw the mist, aimed right for his neck.

Eki said nothing, letting his eyes do the work for him rather then his mouth. Words were fine, actions spoke louder. Studying his opponent, Eki noticed the sword, the headband, the bandage, these were minor details, the rustling of the cloak as an indication of intricate hand movements, major detail. As the area filled with mist, it lowered the already rough visibility from the heavy downpour even further, nearly erasing any work the eyes could do. That was fine, Eki didn't need eyes. He was an assassin, an angel of darkness. It was in those pitch black areas that the Desert Cobra found himself to be home.

"Times up...Lets Play.....Demon its time"

Senbon have a very distinct whistling sound. It was very quiet, but Eki knew it all too well. Leaning to his left, he felt them rush past his ear, the moving air rustling his hair slightly. If this man was going to use the Hidden Mist Technique, he no doubt had a second means of detecting an opponent. It was time to eliminate those. Forming hand seals, Eki's body actually began to slightly change color it seemed. He faded dramatically, becoming one with the white mist that surrounded the two fighters. Concealed in more ways then one, Eki began to move forward, in an arcing pattern towards the last known location of his opponent. This time however, his footsteps no longer made that obnoxious crashing sound. He was silent, the jutsu taking care of any sound he may make.

Strategy almost in place, Eki now simply needed his own means of detection, "Shinju." The albino cobra crept from it's basket at the command, slithering up to rest it's head on Eki's shoulder. It's eyes were firmly pointed in a singular direction. Looking down at her, Eki smiled before twisting his neck to also glare at the spot. "Thank you." Snakes had more then just sight, they had thermal tracking, unfortunately, Danzo's hot mouth had given off quite the amount of heat. Shinju slithered off at this point however, touching the cold ground and moving in her own direction, hidden by the mist. This man wanted to play after all, they would play.

Knowing he was close, Eki closed the gap, leaping directly towards the target with a lunging knee strike. As he zeroed in, it turned out Shinju was right and the target was there. Facing him, Eki found it entertaining, that while he was now close enough to see Danzo, the illusion cast about Eki's body would keep him hidden from actual sight until the hit had been delivered, and at this point, it looked like it was going to connect square in the chest.

Just as Danzo Release the Senbon from his hands he swiftly leaped into the air, quickly creating a web or hand signs as he continued fall to the ground. After the hand seals were complete Danzo was just seconds from hitting the ground tell wind below his feet began to twine around his legs quickly creating a Wind Platform, As it lifted Danzo behind his opponent but high in the air. With out wasting any valuable time Danzo began making more Hands signs creating 2 Wind clones. One stood in the same exact same spot as Danzo did, the other one stood to the right of his opponent. Both keeping looking in the same direction, they noticed that the shinobi was making a move. The clones closed their eyes Allowing them focus on just the main sense that they needed. It was what they call it Electric Sense, which a biological trait known as the Ampullae of Lorenzini. Sharks have this trait and when a Hoshigaki is put threw the Ritual to obtain the looks and many power of the sharks, Ampullae of Lorenzini is one of the many that they obtain. This power allows Danzo to detect the electromagnetic fields generated by movements, Giving him the Advantage of this battle.

The Clone to the Right of the unknown Shinobi begin to run towards him, knowing that he no longer stands there and is headed towards the other clone. For a moment they all lost track of the shinobi because he was in air, which didn't allow them to sense where he was at. Just moments after The clone get a knee to the chest which would of just caused him to get sent flying back, but due to the other clone that had been running up beside them an Throws another Senbon at the other clone hitting a Vital organ killing it instantly. And when a Air Air Pressure Clone is killed it burst with a powerful gust of wind, thus causing the shinobi's knee to take some damage if not broken sending him flying back.

Eki was driven back, and his knee was indeed broken, but was of little concern to him. Landing on one leg, he had generated distance between him and the remaining clone, who at the time he had presumed was the true Danzo. As he landed, several Senbon flew from his sleeve, piercing their target and killing it in a burst of wind. Nope, not Danzo. Still on one leg and cringing from the pain, Eki formed hand seals before pressing his hands to his kneecap. In a series of cracking sounds Eki forced the bone back into place, and with a final snap, it was healed. Stretching it out, Eki grinned then put his head back on a swivel, eyes on the mist. Somehow his opponent had seen the strike coming, and it was neither by sight nor sound. The only way to level the playing field now would be to return his own methods of perception. And so, Eki dashed off to his left. It was in that direction, if memory served him correctly, that the last building he saw was, thus making it the closest. In less then a second, he was proven right.

Without a moment's hesitation, Eki dashed upwards, using the building to scale higher. In seconds, he was free of the mist and continued to climb. He stopped at the top of the building, looking down and waiting. As he did so, a senbon found it's way into his fingertips and began to twirl, a light blue hue highlighting it as chakra flowed into it. He would wait. He knew his opponent was aware of his location, and thus he would wait.

[As you didn't post for intercept and got my location wrong for the aim, I'll assume the vacuum wave was mistargeted]

As Eki had scaled the building, he had felt the ground shake. His mind made note of it under the category, possible doton user. Another slam soon followed, and while Eki would have used it as further evidence towards the man's ability to use doton, the distinct shifting line in the mist of an air current moving through it proved otherwise. Knowing full well what an air blast in the shape of a thin line could mean when dealing with Shinobi, Eki calculated it's path quickly, then stepped to his left, leaning as he did so.

The blade of wind cut into the building's top, digging a gash as it did. It missed Eki by a few inches, only because the desert cobra let it get that close. He could have easily moved away, but as he saw the mist clear, and the first signs of Danzo's body, he was right where he wanted to be. Having turned sideways to avoid the attack, Eki let the senbon fly from his hand as soon as possible, to hopefully let the rain and remaining bits of mist conceal it. It's target was along Danzo's collarbone, so it wouldn't pierce far, just sting incredibly. The mist and the rain wouldn't be the only things to help conceal it however.

Whether it was because he was distracted with Eki, or perhaps because Shinju hadn't moved since she had crawled off into the mist earlier, it seemed Danzo had neglected to detect the snake. It was now that she struck, as she was barely inches away from the rear of the man's heel. Lunging forward, she attempted to coil around his ankle, and would use that to continue to wrap up the man's body. Shinju and Eki had been a team for nearly two decades, and their timing was perfect. She had struck in such a way that Danzo would feel her around his ankle, or rather sense her with his Ampullae organ, far sooner then he'd see the senbon. It would be a weak blow, like a slap in the face, but a blow all the same. From his point above the battlefield, Eki watched on, eyes carefully monitoring the entire battlefield. He quickly did a count on how many techniques the other nin had used so far, and was happy with the result. So far, Eki had used less chakra, and he had a feeling, that that would be an important statistic for the upcoming bout.

Noticing that his attacks were worthless because knew that he was gonna have to be more observant and stop using so much chakra, but that was the least of his worries. Looking straight at Eki Danzo noticed that his harm was lunged forwards as if he threw something at Danzo. Not moments later Something had jumped onto Danzo's leg, not fearing him but making his reaction time more quicker. Making a single hand seal Danzo's whole body turned to water and feel to the ground, as it quickly made it way away from the Snake. Senbon had missed Danzo by a near second but for that he was glade. It was near impossible to know where Danzo's location was because of the water on the ground caused from the rain. Danzo knew exactly what he was doing for the moment and it was stalling time, making Eki think that he had advanced towards him.

Minuets later Danzo reformed just feet away from the snake and his blade, but the good thing was that he was closer to the hilt of his blade. Picking up the blade Danzo quickly cut the head off of the snake then disappeared as if he wasn't there in the first place. Appearing on the same building as Eki, Danzo held his blade in his hand looking at the Shinobi as he pulled something from his pocket then threw it on top of the building.
For the time being Danzo planned to only use Kenjutsu as he wanted to let his swords also have some fun. Quickly dashing towards his opponent while holding his sword at a downward position as he pulled up swinging towards Eki, Depending on if he had is back to Danzo or was facing him, the sword was big enough to cut his whole body, but not killing him just wounding the man.


(and just to clear it up...when i say Disappear then reappear i'm talking about a Body Flicker)

[Body flickering works, auto-hitting my snake doesn't... It's an animal companion, it'd be like auto-hitting and killing a summon. I'll work with it though. Regardless, now I have you. As you've dedicated yourself to a taijutsu attack. Me reacting to it isn't godmodding, as I'm simply allowing you to do what you claimed you were doing, which is swing your sword.]

As Shinju was sliced, she disappeared in a puff of smoke a cut rope being all that remained. In Danzo's haste, he failed to notice this however, and continued to move on. Eki, from his higher vantage point did however, and watching Shinju reappear moments later his thoughts were confirmed when the snake's eyes were focused directly upon himself, or rather, behind him. Eki waited patiently, hearing something hit the ground then footsteps approach quickly from the rear. His trained ears picked up on more however, the rain drops on the sword hilt, the rhythm of his opponent's footsteps, indicating that he was leaning forward, Eki had him caught.

The entire match, Eki's attempts had been to try and get the other nin close. The direct attempt failed miserably, so he had backed off and waited for the other nin to expend some of his chakra in hopes that the Akatsuki member would then close in to preserve any remaining chakra. The fact that this other nin carried a sword only confirmed that he felt comfortable at close range, however he had expended even more chakra in order to get there. That, and he was about to find out why Eki liked to be so close to his opponents.

As the blade swung, Eki's right arm stretched backwards and poked Danzo's hand that was all it took. The sword was long, but by leaning, Eki was able to get to that poke just before the blade cut into him. Luckily, that was all he needed as he knew the blade would be dropped soon. Danzo's body would be entirely paralyzed, Eki having put pressure on Shaochong, Heart Meridian Point number nine. It sent a nervous signal to the heart, shocking it quickly. This in turn would not only hurt like hell, but would give Danzo about three seconds worth of full body paralysis, which was plenty. Continuing on with the motion, Eki grasped the same pinky finger up near the knuckle, squeezing hard he pulled Danzo forward with it, his sword and arm now past Eki's body and out of the way as Eki stepped back. This was point number three along the small intestine meridian, and it would tighten nearly every tendon in Danzo's body, aside from causing some extreme pain, a chakra loss, and disorder of nearly every sense. To finish, Eki swung his free arm backwards as an elbow strike, aiming high. The blow would land hard just below Danzo's head, right at that point between the shoulder and neck. Eki had trained in close quarters combat and the art of acupuncture since day one. There was no missing to be involved, especially with Danzo still paralyzed. Unfortunately this was it. The point he was aiming for was known as Tiangchung, or Heaven's Window. When struck forcibly, as Eki was doing, it caused the heart to stop. That and laughter, oddly enough, but being paralyzed and all, unfortunately Danzo would not be allowed to die smiling.

[Sorry Danzo. Truth be told, you had me on the ropes with all the ninjutsu. That's why I mentioned chakra usage and what not in my posts, I really wanted you to get in close, my character has little to know power outside of the contact range. And yes, this looks like godmodding, but it isn't. You swung the sword, I put my pinky in the way, the effect of the pressure point goes off, giving my character a few moments (in the ninja world this may as well be hours) to do as I please. Yes, I have ample time to finish the elbow strike, as the paralysis won't wear off nearly before that happens, but I felt it unfair to not let you post the death of your own character. Anyways, it was a good bout, until we fight again sire.]
